Just a classic bait and switch scheme. We wanted a room in Whitehorse and the description stated “1.9 KM away from current location.” Once I booked, I received a message that “Google is sometimes wrong and it’s actually 21 KM away.” Not cool. I couldn’t locate a real website for this business. I wanted the address and a phone number. I was sent a link with Google maps. It’s just odd. I also received a message stating that breakfast is not included…even though the Trip Advisor description states it is. I showed the hosts the ad and they stated—via Google Translate interpreter—that they are not responsible for what Google shows online and only those who book on *********** get free breakfast. It’s $15 each otherwise. Like others mentioned, you must remove your shoes, leave them at the door and wear provided (used) slippers. It’s not a request. Not cool. The hosts have you read a booklet of rules then sign that you agree prior to allowing you to stay. In retrospect, we really should’ve left and requested a refund had it not been late. There’s a communal kitchen and someone was making noise between 3:30 and 4 am. Since the “hotel” appears to be a large modular home, the noise reverberates throughout the building. Rooms are small and clean. Rodent traps placed inconspicuously in closet. Check-out is at 10 am. Hosts seemed combative at every turn. Maybe a lot of these issues are due to language barriers and miscommunications, but I doubt it. I definitely do not recommend this place.
