Seacliffe Inn

We stayed at Seacliffe during the height of the birding season in May. While the room is large and quaint it does not come with either a kettle or coffee maker. There is a gas fireplace to heat the room. However, the pilot light is often out after each use. When asked for a kettle the concierge said that they have only one kettle to share between all the rooms on the 2nd and 3 rd floor. There is no elevator in the building with two flights of wooden stairs between each floor. So if your room is on the third floor there is lots of climbing to negotiate. The front desk is not manned after 9 pm. Though by 8.45 pm you can here the receptionist driving away. if you happen to lock yourself out of your room you have no one to help as quests are not given a phone number to call in case of emergencies. To make matters worse, the room and bathroom were not cleaned on Sunday. The restaurant down in the basement called Thirteen at the Inn is excellent nevertheless. Dine here but don’t stay despite its old world charm.

This is a hotel with an old-world charm. It is right across the Leamington Beach. The view is awesome. It is a 2 minute walk to the ferry terminal that takes one to Pelee Island. Lots of restaurants are close by. The staff is very friendly.

Have you ever heard of a hotel that never answered their phone? That's impossible to contact? That never answers messages or emails? I haven't until now. I would recommend read the neg. reviews before you book this place! They have terrible customer service.

We have come to the Seacliffe many times and things are just not good. There is no carpeting on the floor; just a “cheesy” rug on either side of the bed. There are ceiling lights, but only 1 bedside lamp, and it doesn’t work. The TV doesn’t work. 2 of the 3 electrical plugs for charging devices were behind the bed and night table. No instructions for using the remote to try to use the TV. And no phone in the room to even get a hold of anyone. 2 small bath towels, 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels. That was all. There was an ice bucket but no ice machine in sight. There is a small dining table and 2 hard chairs. The table looks like someone has been pounding on it with a tool. There is no other seating. The grounds outside were littered with last years dead leaves and other plant material. The photographs on the website are terribly misleading. And do check out the menu for the restaurant. The prices are very, very high. And empty pizza boxes in the vestibule. And all this for $240!!!! This will be our last visit to the Seacliffe Inn.

This is a very cool inn on the lake. Rooms are large and super clean. Only downfall is the carpets, they were pretty badly stained. There is no breakfast service but the lovely lady at front desk recommended diner across the street and it was amazing. I will definitely be back!!

I travelled to Leamington. Seacliffe Inn offered me an excellent corporate rate. Rooms are large and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very close to restaurants and shopping. Only thing I would recommend is replacing the bleach stained carpets.

What a great place. Walking distance to beach and marina. Restaurants near by are amazing. leamington is truly a gem. Rooms are very clean. Carpets could use replacing. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Will return.

- No plugs for the sink/bathtub. The hotel told us that they would buy some NEXT TIME they go shopping. - Fireplace didn't work, -Carpet had'nt been cleaned in months. Saw a review with exact same stains back in Sept/21. No staff available at the front desk after mid-afternoon....not seen that before, anywhere! Our first time to the area, really hope it is not an indication of the attitude of the hospitality industry in Leamington. Sorry, wont be back to that area again.

Great love love staying here just a little too pricey but I mean it’s good for not charging security deposit. I take walk down by the lake in the morning. Love coming here. And there should be an option to choose two bed when booking.
