Ein großes, weitläufiges und trotz seiner äußeren Erscheinung modernes Hotel mit durchgehend sehr freundlichem Personal. Wir hatten eine Suite mit der Fläche einer Vierzimmerwohnung, die über zwei Bäder verfügte, sehr komfortabel eingerichtet und sehr sauber war. Einige Holzmöbel sind vielleicht etwas in die Zeit gekommen, aber das erhöht eher den Charme. Die Bar und das Restaurant haben einen wundervollen Ausblick, sind gemütlich, und das dort servierte Essen ist gut. Einziger Kritikpunkt, der vielleicht nicht einen ganzen Punkt Abzug rechtfertigt: Es haperte mit der Heizung. Sie funktionierte nur sporadisch bei äußeren Minusgraden. Ich maß 19 Grad Raumtemperatur. Schließlich half man uns allerdings mit einem kleinen Elektroheizkörper.

There was blood spots on our towels and toilet paper shoved in the peephole. The television was off to the side, directly across from the bathroom door, which made it uncomfortable to watch. There was a mirror directly across from the bed, which is really where the TV should've been. There was also no sockets on one side of the bed, which, while an inconvenience, wasn't really a deal breaker. Room was generally grubby. We had extremely loud neighbours, which security dealt with very swiftly once notified. I have stayed in this hotel previously, and the breakfast has really gone downhill. Myself and my partner both ordered the ”full Irish” breakfast, which was a rasher, two sausages, a rubbery fried egg, and a black pudding slice. On the menu it said we could choose how our eggs were done, however our waitress didn't ask us. The buffet is seriously lacking in options. As we weren't full from our meagre breakfast, we went to the buffet. My partner got a croissant which was stale (at 8am!) There were about 8 slices of salami and cheese, and we were there at 8am! I don't want to know what state it was in later on in the morning! The staff at reception, leisure centre and bar were very nice and helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel with its warm hospitality and friendly staff . I loved the tasty breakfast and lovely spa. The bed was very comfy and I slept well. Great view of the lake from my window. A great weekend break.

I stayed two nights here this week. I had reserved a room for single occupancy but had to pay the full amount which was for a triple room. I felt this was rather steep as I only used one bed, one set of towels and ate one breakfast each day. The room itself was well furnished and the bed linen was white and fresh. The bath towel was on the small side. The kettle and tea tray was very welcome but the provision of only 2 teabags was a bit meagre ( considering I was paying for three people). The bathroom was lovely and the shower powerful and the cubicle spacious. I was very surprised that neither the bedroom not the bathroom were tidied at all. I would expect the bed made and the wash basin cleaned as an absolute minimum. The bathroom window was directly behind the toilet so one had to keep the blind closed at all times. Frosted glass, at least in the lower half would be ideal. The breakfast was adequate. The layout looked very attractive but I was surprised to see “ shop-bought” Irish brown bread and tinned fruit. The tea and coffee was plentiful and very good. The cooked breakfast was pretty good. I ordered the small breakfast, ie one egg and one rasher etc. On the second morning I asked for some mushrooms to be added and they were. Although I should say it was as they served 4 quarters of a mushroom. The waitresses were charming and friendly. I would not stay again or recommend it as it does not represent value for money.
