Taunton Ruishton (M5, J25)

Very good stay overall... communal places could have been cleaned better...staff were great especially in restaurant

A lovely stay, very welcoming. Room lovely and clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was really nice dispite having to eat within 45min and the table we had for two was so small. Also it states on website for this hotel they have a Bar..... No they don't! They have a Miller and Carter next door but not a relaxed pub.

I stayed for one night at the Premier Inn, Ruishton at the end of May. Then, three weeks following my stay, I received a parking charge through the post from Horizon Parking (Premier Inn’s parking partner) for £190, or £114 if paid within 14 days of the ’Issue Date’, which was only 2 days after I actually received the charge. On the day we stayed there I remember entering my Registration Number into their parking system screen in reception, and maybe I got it wrong, it’s difficult to know from 3 weeks prior, but, because you do not get a receipt from the parking system it is impossible to know if you have entered your details correctly until several weeks later when you get a fine from Horizon Parking. Now this is where it gets outrageous. I immediately contacted the hotel by email and politely asked them to cancel the charge. After all I was a genuine Premier Inn customer who stayed in the hotel so this was just mistake. The reply I got was ‘Unfortunately we cannot resolve this fine due to being told by Horizon themself and due to the number of signs in and around the hotel’. I have since contacted the Hotel on 4 more occasions and not received a response. I have also contacted Premier Inn Guest relations who initially told me to contact the Hotel, or Horizon Parking. They also have failed to return subsequent emails. So why is this Outrageous. Firstly, this is outrageous because I was a customer of Premier Inn and paid full price to stay in their hotel which advertises ‘Free Parking’. I fully understand that they would want to stop non-customers from taking up parking spaces reserved for customers, but not to catch out their genuine customers. This is just outrageous. Secondly, this is outrageous because from the response of the hotel, Horizon Parking are clearly ordering the Premier Inn Manager NOT to cancel the charge. Are Premier Inn senior management aware that Horizon Parking are instructing Premier Inn staff to act in this way and to ignore their customers – Outrageous. Thirdly, and equally outrageous, is that I received 2 parking tickets for one night’s stay. One for the day I arrived and one for the day I left. So double money for Horizon Parking. Outrageous. Additionally, nobody in Premier Inn will get back to me. Are they also under orders from Horizon Parking. So, unfortunately, I can only recommend you AVOID this hotel at all costs because you never know if you have entered your registration number correctly - you get no proof, or evidence to say that you have. And, if you get a parking ticket from Horizon Parking 3 weeks later, you can forget any help from Premier Inn.

Thank you so much you made out trip very special, The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, The receptionist was very welcoming and attentive, all the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Even when it kicked off because a guest in breakfast didn't want to pay for breakfast like the rest of us and only wanted a coffee, the team dealt with in amazingly. The breakfast buffet was delicious, The food was good and great value for money. We found The hotel's location is convenient for leisure travellers like us, The hotel is in a great location just off J25 M5. The room amenities were nicely done, spacious, and rooms were very comfortable. The sleep quality was excellent, and the mattresses felt like sleeping at home - ask for 105 if your staying its HUGE.... Friendly and personal service, The staff were all very friendly and helpful and no request for assistance was a problem for them very friendly, patient and helpful. That impressed me the most. No matter what time of day or night, my requests for an iron and extra towels was not an issue. The hotel is well situated, being close to the M5, and the tourist sites. Lovely hotel, Breakfast was enjoyable and had a good selection with attentive staff. Received good recommendations for food the poached eggs were amazing. Room was clean with the essentials. Everything we needed for a short visit to Somerset. We would definitely stay there again.

I highly recommend this Premier Inn in Taunton because of its clean and comfortable rooms, top-notch service, and attentive staff. What a gem of a hotel! From the efficient check-in process, each moment was delightful. Although the outside could do with a paint. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, with great AC that actually worked. They went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taunton or like us stopping off on the way South. Thank you again and we will see you again. P.S i almost forgot the breakfast was amazing nothing was to much trouble. Sometimes when praise is due you can't say enough all the staff we met are great.
