"Friendly Service; sauberes Zimmer und Badezimmer. Nichts falsch ist wirklich, außer dass ich erwartete ein HOTEL basierend auf den Bildern und sicherlich der Preis! Die Lage ist groß, aber beachten Sie, dass dies eine INN mit Zimmern an der Rückseite. Frühstück nicht enthalten (Kosten £15 extra). Die Lage ist groß vor der Kathedrale, aber keine Parkplätze. Eine gute, komfortable Aufenthalt, aber überpreis von dem, was es war und der Zeit des Jahres (Mitte Oktober)."

"I loved the surroundings of this hotel. It's a truly medieval setting. There's a monastery right outside the entrance, which you can visit and is truly spectacular. There's also a castle-like ancient building surrounded by a moat with swans. The stairs to the rooms are quite interesting. Breakfast is made to order and is delicious. It includes bread, sausage, and scrambled eggs, as well as bacon and black pudding. Parking is available right outside the entrance. We arrived at 9 PM and left at 10:00 AM the next day. There was no charge for this time. If I were to visit Wells again, I would choose this hotel again. Thank you for your warm hospitality! It made you feel right at home."

"What a gem! As soon as we arrived we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. It was a super hot day and we arrived early evening so we made our way straight to the lovely garden area. The landlady was so friendly, stopping to chat to people and having real conversations, showing a genuine interest in everyone. The food was delicious and we can recommend the vegetarian curry and fish pie We stayed for one very comfortable night in their Poppy Room, followed by a tasty breakfast which set us up for the day ahead. Enjoyed a relaxed conversation in the morning with the landlord. I would definitely recommend the George for its welcoming vibe, relaxed atmosphere, sense of community, exceptional hosts, good food and the clean and comfortable accommodation."
