The Yellow House on Plott Creek

The pillows at the Yellow House are fluffy and the sheets are so comfy. Great snacks, water, coffee and tea in the Butler’s pantry. The Innkeeper’s are extremely nice. We stayed the Patriots Quarters and loved that room! It rained most of the time of our visit so we didn’t get to spend time outside on the property like we had hoped but we still enjoyed our stay!

This is the best vacation place we have been to. I always look forward to going and hate to leave. Chad, Dena and other staff make it so welcoming. All of the little touches to the room, living areas of home and breakfast couldn't be any better! Can't wait to go back!

We were greeted by the nicest hostess presenting us with warm cookies and freshly made tea. Every detail was thought of including warm bathrobes, unlimited snacks and coffee in the kitchen, and fun games and books in the reading room. A++++

How welcoming and peaceful The Yellow House is! Chad and his staff take wonderful care of guests. The home is immaculate and the cuisine scrumptious! Situated in a park like setting where nature abounds, it is a visual treat. You will never want to stay anywhere else!

When I first saw the beautiful yellow house on top of the hill with its long front porch and rocking chairs, I felt excited. Was it as pretty on the inside as it was on the outside? Yes! When I eagerly opened the side door, I was immediately greeted by the delicious aroma of baking sweets and a charming man named Chad who greeted us as though we were already his favorite guests. I wandered around trying to take everything in - the colorful and tasteful fall décor, the gorgeous and cozy library, the huge bedroom with a wide bank of windows and a fireplace and – the mountain views! This place had everything we could ever want. Chad explained how everything worked and he showed us where the snacks were. There was so much attention to detail. So many added touches. Such personal service. (Chad was always available on the property.) We came in search of a quiet, peaceful retreat and we got it. This is what a traditional bed and breakfast should look like and be like. It was superb in every way.

This impressive home, beautifully situated on a hill top, is steeped in history: Biltmores, Plotts, speakeasy’s, revenuers, political wheeling and dealing… it’s all there. My stay was superb in every way…hosts, hospitality, comfort, breakfast.
