Arrived to find no one on reception and no one answering the bell. Rang it about 5 times. Looks like the receptionist was chatting to whoever was microwaving the meals. I was on the first floor and it smelt of drains. When I went down for dinner, having looked at the menu in the rooms, they only had two options and even then she had to go and ask if I could have one. The dining room was freezing cold with the air conditioning way too high. So no food. There is a much better American diner around the corner. I could not get a proper receipt. For some reason Premier Inn now have Proforma Folio written on all their receipts and the Inland Revenue won’t let us clam back the vat on them. To top off a lovely stay, whoever was in the room above me was doing a half-marathon and I couldn’t open the window to get any fresh air. Whatever happened to a good night guarantee? The final straw was the pathetic WiFi and I couldn’t see any images without being pixelated and the mobile signal on O2 is not that great in the area. All in all an awful stay but not, unfortunately, unusual for a Premier Inn. If I could give it zero stars I would.
