Waterford Castle

This was the most amazing hotel I’ve ever stayed in, truly felt like a princess. The staff was so wonderful and rooms were cozy and beautiful. My sister got married here and it was so picturesque. We got to see a family of 6 deer out in the open just hanging out.

I got married at Waterford Castle in October 2024 and I can’t emphasize enough how highly I recommend this as a wedding venue! Getting married here was the best experience we could have ever imagined, and we truly loved every aspect of it. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful. - from the castle itself to the expensive grounds to the rooms and lodges. Inside the castle, where our wedding was held, we felt that a perfect balance was struck with it being so stunning and impressive while also warm, cozy, and inviting. We were so happy with all of the aspects of the wedding, including the variety of beautiful spaces where different parts of the afternoon and evening took place, the delicious food and drinks, and the very friendly staff. We also loved the fact that we could rent out the entire castle and this was such a special experience for all of our guests as well, and they continue to rave about what an amazing weekend it was and how stunning the venue is. Gillian, the wedding coordinator, was so fantastic in helping us to plan and coordinate the various details of our wedding and was so extremely helpful, organized, and quick to respond to the many questions I had leading up to the big day. Since we live in the US, I was initially a bit intimidated about the idea of planning a wedding from abroad, but it ended up going very smoothly and Gillian’s attention to detail made it so that everything ran perfectly throughout the entire wedding weekend. I can’t fully capture in words how special it feels to get married here, but I’ll give this venue the absolute highest recommendation and will always be so grateful that we chose to get married here.

This place is like a fairy tale! There was a rainbow over the little island as we drove onto the ferry that takes you over and the magical feeling didn't stop there. As you drive up to the actual castle, it's stunning and the inside continued to impress. We stayed in the Rose Suite and we loved it. There are only 19 rooms in the castle so it feels very intimate, but there are also family style lodges on the property. The staff is lovely and even though it felt very luxurious, it never felt stuffy. The food served was fantastic! There are tons of walking trails with wildlife spotting and the golf course is beautiful. This place is a special experience!

This place made you feel like you lived in the castle! I stayed here with a party of 9 people and it was so much fun! Stephen was our bartender both nights we were there and he was INCREDIBLE! He deserves a raise!!! He was very outgoing and down to earth. We hung out in the bar and played cards and had so much fun. The dinner here I would not recommend but rather go out just across the ferry. The breakfast was very good and is included. I would recommend this spot to other families as well.

Wonderful experience! Beautiful grounds, stunning interior with clean beautifully decorated rooms. Definitely take time to walk the castle grounds. Highly recommend evening dinner. The food is delicious and the servers cater to your every need. The breakfast is equally as good! Do not miss the fresh honey dripping from the cone! The continuous fire in the main entrance fireplace is definitely fit for royalty! Would absolutely recommend staying at Waterford Castle.

Disgrace, would not recommend staying here at all. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else that actually cares about what they're doing. Dreadful experience and would not come again if I was paid. Not an experience I would like to repeat.
