Light-filled and modern, this serene yet vibrant urban retreat is your perfect home away from home. Fully-equipped for a care free stay a mile from the nation's Capitol, this lovely three-story apartment is the perfect retreat for families looking for ample space to enjoy the heart of DC. Easy & free access via streetcar from Union Station. Walk to some of DC's best markets, restaurants, coffee shops and nightlife. Enjoy the charm of Capitol Hill and proximity to DC's dynamic H Street corridor. The space Please read prior to booking. We love our 100+ year old townhome and recently renovated it for your utmost comfort. Fresh minimalist décor creates a relaxing urban oasis. Morning light streams through the windows and washes the open concept living/dining/kitchen area creating the perfect spot to read a good book with a fresh cup of coffee or tea (provided) or visit with friends/family. A four-person dining table provides the perfect spot to share a meal, knock out some work (hopefully not :)) or play games. The sleek modern kitchen is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator (with freezer), extra under-counter freezer, microwave, oven, electric range/cooktop, dishwasher, kettle, coffee maker (and supplies), Nespresso Vertuo coffee maker (please bring your own Nespresso Vertuo pods if you'd like to use it), flatware, mugs, plates, cups, pots, pans and basic cooking supplies. The upper floors are graced with three bedrooms and three bright full bathrooms - all stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hairdryer, q-tips and cotton rounds for your convenience. New, full sized LG washer and dryer, iron and ironing board are also provided in the unit's dedicated laundry room. The apartment is equipped with high-speed WiFi with a mesh router network and a 60" Samsung Frame Smart TV (with cable channels delivered through YouTube TV) for your entertainment/viewing pleasure. Sleeping Arrangements: The unit is equipped to sleep up to 6 guests (families of 6 are welcome - only a maximum 4 unrelated adults are allowed). The second floor contains a private bedroom with a California King size bed and a walk-in closet (perfect for a pack-n-play if you're toting along a little one that needs a private space to sleep). The third floor has two additional bedrooms - a large bedroom with a queen size bed and a smaller bedroom with two twin XL beds. The small bedroom on the third floor also has a large walk-in closet which are a great spot for a pack-n-play if needed. Family Friendly: Minimal furnishings and décor provide for a family-friendly stay. A high-chair and pack-n-play are provided for your use (please bring your own sheets). There are a couple big closets in the bedrooms if having a separate space for your little one is desired. We simply ask that you put the pack-n-play (place mattress and frame in the bag) and high chair away (wipe off) where you found them before you leave if they are used. 🙏 Outdoor Oasis: This lovely unit has access to a newly upgraded front yard space for your enjoyment. Guests can relax on the outdoor lounge furniture or share a glass of wine with friends under the starry string lights. Your hosts and other guests have access to this same space and may use it on occasion. Please let us know if there is a specific occasion in which you would like to "reserve" the space for your own private use and we'll be sure to share your plans with other guests accordingly. Guest access Each guest is provided with a 4-digit key code that they will use to access both the front door of the townhome and the door to the private 3-floor unit.
