Title: fantastic staff, comfortable stay Reception: Liz at reception was fantastic and Helen at breakfast was informative made great suggestions on where to visit historical sites. Room / facilities: Room number 19 is on the ground floor and is clean. The room consists of 2 single beds, desk, chair, iron and board, stand shower (no tub) in the bath room, desk and chair. Self control air conditioning with a window that opens about 5 cm. The room does not have a fridge. Although we had to change rooms due to plumbing issues, our second room was very functional and comfortable. Parking: This is available at an additional £3.50 per night cost, car registration must be provided at check in. Whilst there are plenty of parking spaces, a car is required to get to the hotel, resulting in the spaces filling quickly. Wifi: Complementary and good speed. No validation or password required. Breakfast: The buffet breakfast is from 6.30am to 9.30am and consists of cereals, yogurt, breads (to toast) jams and spreads, fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, bacon, baked beans, sausages & harsh browns, juices, tea /coffee. Staff are very attentive to remove plates and refill food items. Nice touch having a staff member come around during breakfast offering sweet pastries. Conclusion: Centrally located “base”hotel for day trips to surrounding towns or Warwick town. Very nice staff, with a Mcdonalds outside your door step. Letdowns: No fridge, inconsistent room features. Location / Nearby: Warwick town is a 5 min drive. Other nearby towns are 10-20 mins drive away.

We have stayed at this hotel on three occasions now (once with Shearings and twice independently. On arrival the receptionist was friendly and asked how our journey had been as weather was awful. We stayed in the modern block room 63 and were very happy with the room. The hotel is being refurbished and you can tell. The carpet fitters were there during our stay and the entrance to the block is clean and fresh. On arriving in the room we could only see one set of towels and we had a problem with our Tv but the receptionist came immediately to our room to help us. The second lot of towels were in the wardrobe. Our room was very clean and spacious. The only one thing more hangers would have been useful. We had evening meal in the restaurant. The food was very good. Myself and my husband had the ham hock terrine followed by blade of beef and myself had scampi. Food was hot and a good portion size. We both enjoyed our food. Staff were efficient and helpful. We had breakfast two mornings. It wasn’t buffet as we had had previously due to hotel being quiet but you could order hot food ie full English. There were fruit juices cereals yoghurt fruit continental meat and cheeses also alongside bread to make your own toast and pastries such as croissants and pain au chocolate. You get your own drinks from the two coffee machines which are easy to use. We had a drink in the bar both nights but the first night it was just us and another gentleman. It was slightly busier the next evening. The cleaner who serviced our room was also pleasant to us. We enjoyed our stay and would return. I know that some of the reviews on here are harsh but we had an enjoyable break. Mr and Mrs King

The room was attractive (but smelt unpleasantly of cheese or similar when we arrived) with comfy beds and a nice view of the church. That's the good bit but unfortunately the rest made it too odd to enjoy. It was so strange - like staying in someone's house where they weren't expecting you and didn't want you there! The staff were completely disinterested and unfriendly from start to finish. Breakfast was strange - jars of cornflakes, crunchy nut cornflajes, muesli and croissants on one table with a plastic bottle of milk, plus some bread and a toaster on the bar - noone showed you where anything was, you!had to find where they had balanced bits of breakfast and the one member of staff sat with her back to us. We weren't offered tea or coffee but asked if there was any because we saw empty teapots on another table. Very awkward and uncomfortable. When we checked in, I asked what time checkout was and asked if I could extend it to 12pm. I was told it was 10am but could pay £20 to extend it, which I did. At 11.40am we returned to our room and a member of staff said 'what are you still doing here, check out was at 11am' so I said we had paid £20 to extend it to 12pm. We could not have been made to feel less welcome throughout. Very disappointing and absolutely not worth the money.

Wir hatten das Gefühl, hier eine ganze Zeit zu bleiben, da das Hotel ziemlich etwas aussehen und es ist in einem Bereich, den wir lieben. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr nett. In schönen, malerischen Grundstücken, wunderschönen See und Roaming Landschaft lebt es sicherlich bis zu seiner Einstellung und Rechnung. Einchecken war schnell und ohne Probleme. Das Zimmer war grundsätzlich, aber sauber und gemütlich mit einem kleinen Patio und Autoparkplatz direkt draußen. Das Hotel, obwohl ziemlich groß, sehr besetzt und beliebt mit Familien und Kindern war überraschend sehr ruhig. Wir hatten eine gute Nacht schlafen. Wir genossen den Spa- und Schwimmbadbereich. Noch einmal sauber und ziemlich modern. Der Pool ist jedoch etwas auf der schweigenden Seite, wenn Sie ein richtiges Schwimmen vermuten. Das Restaurant/Essen war leider eine absolute Katastrophe. Es ist ein großes Restaurant und in offensichtlich zu viele Abendessen gleichzeitig, die Wartepersonal waren eindeutig schlecht ausgestattet, schlecht vorbereitet und unerfahren, um die Nachfrage zu bewältigen. Die Wartezeit für unsere Nahrung und Getränke war grausam. Das Essen war durchschnittlich. Die Wahl war sehr begrenzt. Unsere Getränke wurden zweimal aus unserem Tisch entfernt und unsere Wüste konnte einfach nicht materialisieren. In Fairness wurden unsere Beschwerden sofort und sehr gut von Sharon (Restaurant Manager) behandelt, aber es gab zu viele Dinge, die falsch gingen. Werden wir zurück? Ja, zu bleiben. Nein, zu essen.
