Regatta Point Holiday Park

We recently enjoyed a lovely stay here in a cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and was well equipped for a self-contained stay. Bed very comfortable and linen of good quality. Excellent shower (love the excellent strong water flow!). Looked like the cottage had been painted inside and out in the last 12 months so looked fresher than the pictures on the website. The location is very quiet and a lovely view looking out over the lake. We also enjoyed dinner at the Bermagui Beach Hotel which was about 10 minute drive away. Fantastic peaceful location to enjoy some coastal walks around the area. Well worth a drive to Tilba and visit to the Tilba Dairy shop - fantastic local cheese.

We travelled in a campervan and had a pitch by the shore of Wallaga Lake. The view was glorious, looking over the lake in one direction to woodland and in the other to Gulaga Mountain/Mount Dromedary, with ever-changing lights and colours. There is a row of picnic tables and firepits along the shore, so plenty of opportunity for barbecues. For bird-watchers, there are pelicans, black swans, Little Pied Cormorants, Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos, galahs, masked lapwings (some of these will be commonplace to Australians, I realise, but a source of delight to foreign tourists like ourselves!) The showers are clean and spacious but rather chilly (in July). We were made very welcome by Tracey, the lady in charge, was kind and helpful. There are pleasant walks (e.g. to Horse Rock and Dromedary Rock) in the immediate area, and it's a good base from which to visit Bermagui, Tilba and Bega.

Nice and simple, does the job. Property is located about 5-8 minutes from Bermagui. Staff are very friendly, and cabins are simple but functional. Beds are comfy and it is reasonably quiet for a holiday park. Only downside (which isn't their fault but more a location factor) is the abysmal 4G reception, barely can get a good enough phone signal, and the property doesn't have Wi-Fi from what we noticed, but oddly enough you can get 5G in town. Otherwise a good stay at Regatta Point Holiday Park.
