Fox Harb' r Resort

What fantastic moments we had at Fox Harb’r! The resort is located on a charming site by the ocean, with every possible activity imaginable! I loved that it was far from the city. It felt truly peaceful there! The golf course was fun to play, entertaining, and enjoyable since it wasn’t overcrowded. The suites are beautiful, clean, and spacious. It’s like sleeping at home, with all the little details in place! The food was our biggest surprise, as everything was top-notch! The dishes were flavorful, the wine list was interesting, and having two restaurants offered plenty of choices. Lastly, the service was exceptional throughout the entire resort! Janelle and AJ at Trifecta were amazing! The restaurant staff felt like family. One small comment: I would have liked to see proper spa facilities, with a hammam, sauna, and outdoor hot tubs. Otherwise, I’ll definitely be returning when the two new 9-hole courses are ready. It’s an experience to live and relive!

The location is absolutely spectacular, can't get better views! Room was perfect, we had an ocean view room and would recommend splurging. Heated bathroom floor is to die for, I'd also recommend adjusting the heat schedule so you have toasty floors for middle of the night bathroom visits! Only meh aspect was the food. The stay was for our 25th anniversary and we wanted to go somewhere nice as a treat. I do unfortunately have celiac, but the server was happy to inform that many items can be prepared safely. I gladly ordered the according to their menu "signature" seafood chowder, but was disappointed to receive a watery, flavourless broth with what looked like a handful of frozen carrots and onions thrown in. No seafood to be had in said broth. I felt bad for the server when I asked if there should be actual fish in the seafood chowder (advertised was lobster, halibut, scallops & salmon, I kept scraping my spoon along the bottom of the bowl in disbelief that none of that was in there), but at the same time she didn't seem to be super surprised or act like it wasn't the norm. I do recommend the Chardonnay made with their grapes you'd see growing along the road on the way in, very tasty. My husband liked his buttermilk chicken sandwich, nothing special but it filled the gap. We were only there for one night so didn't have the opportunity to explore further options, but I bet there are some good local spots run by friendly locals in nearby Wallace or Tatamagouche to try for food.

Have been here several times but the first in 2 years. The improvements are positive and I’m excited to see the results of the new course.

Clean and reliable accommodations, excellent food, friendly staff and relaxing spa. We will be back next fall.

Pet friendly isn't a draw for everyone. When booking the Fox Harbour team should disclose Pets are permitted and in which lodgings to avoid issues with other non- pet guests.

Excellent location for a business event / retreat. Variety of activities so something for everyone, not just golf (which is excellent).

This is a beautiful property. I am not a golfer so while the other 3 enjoyed the course I took advantage of the spa. It was wonderful. This is likely to become an annual fall treat. 2 couples with Executive Suites.

Everyone we met was extremely helpful and friendly and was ther to make our experience special. Food and Activities we did was a lot of fun

This was my second stay at Fox Harbour Resort. It is situated in one of the prettiest locations on Nova Scotia’s Northumberland Shore. Accommodations are 5 star. We enjoyed our well appointed Executive Suite, the heated bathroom floor and especially the Molton Brown toiletries. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The resort offers some of the best golf in Canada, a Spa and many other activities. With one reservation, Fox Harbour Resort has my highest recommendation. That reservation is respecting the breakfast food and slow dining room service. While good, the food at breakfast was not of the caliber one would expect in such a fine resort. After my first visit, I complained about the slow service in the Main Dining Room. Unfortunately we encountered the same problem on this visit. However, this should not dissuade you from experiencing this world class resort. It provides exceptional Nova Scotia scenery and a relaxing experience on par with the finest resort destinations in Eastern Canada.
