Wolkendorf Bio Hotel & Spa

Wir sind mit meiner kleinen Nichte hierhergekommen, weil uns eine babyfreundliche Umgebung und Annehmlichkeiten versprochen wurden, die ziemlich zufriedenstellend sind, nachdem wir Anfang März 2022 zwei Nächte dort verbracht hatten. Das große Problem war, dass wir zwei Zimmer für vier Nächte bezahlt hatten, unseren Kurzurlaub aber nicht dort beenden konnten, weil die zweite Nacht ein wahrer Albtraum war mit den Bewohnern des Zimmers, das mit unserem vermischt war: ein zwielichtiges Paar, das offensichtlich betrunken und/oder high war, schrie und fluchte und von 2 bis 7 Uhr morgens eine laute Sexshow abzog. Meine Nichte wurde zusammen mit uns (3 Erwachsene) brutal aufgeweckt und war verängstigt, also klopften wir an ihre Tür und baten sie freundlich, ruhig zu sein, aber sie antworteten unhöflich, sie machten, was sie wollten (offensichtlich konnten wir sie in diesem betrunkenen/highen Zustand nicht erreichen). Der nächste Schritt bestand also darin, ungefähr 10 Mal zwei Handynummern der Rezeption anzurufen, ohne überhaupt eine Antwort zu bekommen. Wir gingen sogar mitten in der Nacht zur Rezeption und – Überraschung! – war niemand da und auch kein Personal auf dem gesamten Gelände. Im Grunde hatten wir diese Albtraumsituation nebenan – und konnten kein Auge und kein Ohr zudrücken, da meine Nichte Zeugin des ganzen Spektakels war – und niemand, nicht einmal eine Person vom Personal, ging ans Telefon oder war vor Ort, um einzugreifen. Am Morgen baten wir darum, mit dem Manager zu telefonieren, um ihm das Problem zu melden, das wir die ganze Nacht ertragen mussten, und man bot uns lahme Ausreden, dass sie nie solche Situationen hätten, sodass sie niemanden einstellen könnten, der für die Nacht auf Abruf bereitsteht. Im Grunde genommen gibt es für die Gäste während der Nacht überhaupt keinen Schutz vor solchen alltäglichen Szenarien, die passieren können und auch passieren, oder noch schlimmeren Szenarien, in denen man von betrunkenen oder gewalttätigen Personen angegriffen oder beschimpft werden kann. Wir mussten eine formelle Beschwerde beim Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsamt einreichen, weil der Manager uns nicht einmal das Geld für die 2 bezahlten, aber nie genutzten Nächte zurückerstatten wollte, angesichts dieses großen Vorfalls, der uns dazu zwang, uns zwei Zimmer woanders zu suchen. Glücklicherweise wurde das Wolkendorf offiziell bestraft und wir warten derzeit darauf, unser SO VERSCHWENDETES Geld zurückzubekommen. Sie behaupten vielleicht, ein 4-Sterne-Resort zu sein, aber wenn man erst einmal dort ist, stellt man fest, dass man von ihrer sehr unauthentischen Präsentation getäuscht und getäuscht wurde.

I recently spent a weekend at Wolkendorf Bio Hotel & Spa, and it was an absolute delight! The best experiences were the spa and the traditional restaurant, where we served delicious meals, and the breakfast each morning was a delightful start of the day.

Our experience with this hotel was not as we imagined… The price for the 3 nights stay during New Years Eve was huge (1500€ for 3 nights) but the activities on the schedule seemed to be very nice (there were nice campfire activities, food and drinks by the fire, kids club activities with hot chocolate and marshmallows by the fire and a nice New Years Eve party), that’s why we booked the holiday. It was dissapointing to see that we arrived there and nothing was as scheduled!!! They only wrote the schedule to attract people into booking the holiday, but in reality everything was very dull. -the rooms are very small and with no place to put your clothes (one wardrobe for 2 adults and 2 children); -the bathroom was full of water all the time from the shower that didn’t have a shower curtain or a glass; - the common toilets from the resort were very dirty all the time; - The New Years Eve party was a total failure, except the music, which was great, but the food came very late and it wasn’t very good, and there was 1 bartender for 100 people!! - After the failed party and the absent promised activities we asked to talk to the manager who never showed up, but he called us and send a message that he will try to fix the problems for the next day, yet nothing changed- the party scheduled on the 1st of January had the same food, not enough for all the people in the restaurant and almost no desert (except for some cookies). - The outside pools were poorly maintained, only one was working, the rest were full of leaves and branches. - The spa is quite big and nice, but half of the facilities were closed when we wanted to attend them! In conclusion, I would never recommend this hotel and I still expect a refund from them for the ruined New Years Eve holiday for which we payed 1500€ for 3 nights-stay!! Ps: I would recommend Conacul Ambient, which is nearby and a very nice and cosy hotel with lots of kids activities!

One day before the booked arrival date, we were informed by the hotel that our room wasn’t going to be available due to “water damage”. We stayed with local friends for that one night and checked in the following day. During the stay we found that the hotel had been overbooked and that the “water damage “ was a pure excuse. Despite multiple confirmations by the hotel’s management and several reminders, we never received the credit for the first night for the room, although we had paid the amount due for the entire stay in advance. Neither did we get any response from the hotel management when sending reminders! Therefore we warn anyone who’s considering this hotel, in particular, do NOT pay in advance!

I recently stayed here, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the location and rooms were decent, several issues left me disappointed. Unprofessional Staff: The hotel staff’s behavior was unacceptably rude. The receptionist seemed disinterested, and the waitstaff appeared to work reluctantly. It felt as though they prioritized tips over genuine guest satisfaction. Facilities: The heated pool was tiny, suitable only for very young children. As a family-friendly hotel, it should provide amenities that cater to guests of all ages. Overall Impression: Given the four-star rating, I expected better. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and subpar facilities overshadowed any positives. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes necessary improvements. As a paying guest, I deserved a better experience.

Good points: buildings, playground, room, outside facilities, good breakfast Awful points: did not receive the adjacent rooms I was confirmed for, I waited for 5 hours and after talking to the manager several times and being asked for explanations all over again why I need 2 rooms close together, why I cannot take other rooms, why do I sleep like that with my child etc they said that they already checked in everyone else and have no other rooms. I insisted and eventually they found the rooms I was confirmed for. I moved my luggage twice during this time and stayed with my small child outside and with other people. I payed for 2 rooms, received only 1 bottle of complementary wine. My room was full of hairs everywhere on the bed and bathroom, very dirty, I can share pictures. Most of the bicycles outside that the guests can use are broken and cannot be used. If activities are organised by the hotel, you have to ask several times for info, we missed the ice cream, evening food like that Incredibly dangerous situation: at night the power went down several times, you cannot enter the room because it is unlocked with card (electrical). I was locked outside and waited until the power came again to go in. In the morning, I signaled the situation, they said that they have a generator, but it has to be jumpstarted manually, fuel must be added etc, very complicated. If someone is sick in the rooms and the power goes out, the only way to go in is to either break the door or search for a separate physical key at the reception (which they did not know if it was the good one for 1 of my rooms the next morning). I requested the physical keys with me also and had them the rest of my stay.
