My recent stay at Nidhivan Sarovar Portico in Vrindavan was a blend of spiritual tranquility and contemporary comfort. The hotel strikes a delicate balance between honoring the sacred atmosphere of Vrindavan and providing the modern amenities travelers expect. The property's aesthetic incorporates elements of Krishna devotion through its decor, which I found both tasteful and authentic. While the hotel definitely delivers on its promise of being a premium accommodation option in the holy city, it has hiccups that slightly diminished the otherwise good experience. The property is starting to look dated, the room was have an odd smell, and the design is way too plastic and bland leaning more towards a typical 3 star experience than the usual SAROVAR PORTICO properties! LOCATION:The hotel enjoys a prime location that balances accessibility with serenity. It's situated about 2-3 kilometers from major temples like Banke Bihari and ISKCON, making it removed from the congestion of the town center yet still convenient. The relative quiet was a welcome respite after days spent navigating Vrindavan's bustling narrow lanes. DINE + DRINK: Didnt have an option to try their restuarant so couldnt comment on the quality, but the menu had a fine selection of hyper-local and regional dishes that are not to be missed. ROOM: I stayed in Room 521, which was a SUITE room, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Random view of the city ; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES:Decent quality toiletries FACILITIES: A very dated and dingy looking “Gym” with a basic range of weights, workout stations, and Cardio machines that are probably older than most guests of the hotel! But manageable for a workout if you are that persistent! They have a few recreational items like Carrom, etc in another dingy room! SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to Mr.ACHAL - the Front office manager - for enhancing my stay experience and AKHILESH PANDIT at the restaurant for attending to all my requests with a big smile! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is EXTREMELY SLOW! So dont plan on working from here as the connectivity is quite Patchy! Big Smart TV , in each of the room, dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages
