We came 7 persons for work and meetings. The farm house hotel is very well restored and styled, making it something special with a mixture of traditional and modern, rural handcraft and modern art. The food was amazing and the service very friendly. The guest rooms are nice with a modern bathroom and a comfortable bed. The Internet and meeting facilities were excellent as well. This is a place I would love to return to. It is a bit of a walk from the train station, perhaps 30 min. but only 10 min by taxi. It is walking distance from Mølstertunet- the Voss open air museum.

Modernes Hotel mit sauberen Grundzimmern. Große Frühstücksoptionen und wir haben von einem gepackten Mittagessen von den Frühstücksoptionen profitiert. Großes Pizza Restaurant auf der High Street. Unterhalb ist Parkplatz, der gebührenpflichtig ist, die sich in der Stunde am Rücken des Hotels hinter der Bahnhof befindet.

Dieses Hotel wäre in den letzten Tagen ziemlich groß gewesen und hat immer noch ein alter Weltgefühl, das eine schöne Atmosphäre schafft. Für diesen Bereich ist es gut gelegen. nahe dem Bahnhof hat seine Vorteile, aber es wird eindeutig ein wenig Lärm geben. Unser Zimmer war fast auf der Plattform und wir hörten die Züge in der Nacht, aber es waren nicht viele und es war nicht zu schlecht. Das Zimmer selbst war sauber, komfortabel, zimmermäßig und schien individuell eingerichtet und dekoriert. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr hilfreich und angenehm, und die Bar war ein sehr umgebender Ort, um einen Drink zu haben, sicherlich machten sie einen ausgezeichneten Negroni. Sie hatten einen schlechten Haartag beim Abendessensservice unsere erste Nacht, da sie mehr Walkings als erwartet hatten für die Zahl der Mitarbeiter, aber die nächste Nacht war wieder normaler Effizienz. Das Essen war sehr gut, und als wir fragten, ob sie Käse statt dem Dessert machen könnten, erhielten wir einen attraktiven und substantiellen Service. Frühstück war gut.

The hotel is fantastic! Staff Very kind and genuine. Made me feel welcome right away with a big smile and make sure everything is all right. Amenities There is access to a full kitchen. The share toilet and shower were always clean. Rooms The beds are very comfortable and the duvet makes it feels as you sleep on a cloud. Location It is one train station away from Voss Sentrum. The area around the hotel is very peaceful and quiet. Decor I loved all the objects on display in the hallway and the rooms. It looks like a museum! Café There is a very cozy coffee downstairs to watch tv or warm up by the wood fire. They have cakes, donuts coffee... I absolutely want to go there again. When I go back to Norway that place is where I want to be!!!

We stayed mid Feb (over half term) in interconnecting rooms on a bed, breakfast and evening meal basis. We flew Gatwick to Bergen on Norwegian Air. Arrival:- Norwegian Air were fine so not sure why so many people complain about them! We were on the plane less time than in the coach for our transfer! Bergen Airport – organised, clean and quick (immigration and luggage collection). Hotel organised transfer and driver was waiting as we walked out of final security. Transfer was in a nice coach and took 2 hours there and just over on the way back due to traffic on a Sunday. Upon arrival at the hotel check in was relatively quick although info was a little lacking re ski passes, ski collection, lockers etc. Our ski pass QR code didn’t work on the machines in the hotel so we walked next door and they were really helpful and sorted. There are ski lockers but they are limited to approx. 30 – none available when we arrived but one became available the next day. There is boot and ski storage which probably out of school holidays is less manic. Ski hire – hectic on day 1 and first lesson start was delayed as a result. We pre-ordered our equipment which helped so if you can then I would suggest doing that. Ski’s and boots were good, helmets limited at the start but then we swapped after the initial rush calmed down. Rooms – comfortable beds and pillows. One room had a sofa and the other a balcony (good for chilling drinks!). Bathroom was adequate and storage area had plenty of hooks and enough hanging space. Restaurants – upon arrival we were given a dining schedule for the week where we had to chose where and when we ate (one meal in Nuten Fondue and one in Tunet). Breakfast was a buffet style in Restaurant Nuten – it was busy from 7:30 but gets quieter from 8:30 onwards as people move from food to skiing preparation. Good selection of bread (no toaster), pancakes, cooked breakfast options, pastries yogurt and fruit. Evening meal was a set 3 course dinner but you could choose from the menu if you wanted. Good variety of drinks at the expected high prices. Fondue was lovely (meat and cheese) and meal in Tunet was really good. Lunch was either in Kamben, Fjellstova Vetlebotn or Myrkdalsstovo – food and drinks were nice in each. FV, in our opinion for lunch, had the most selection and was pretty cool being up in the mountains. For those who are less experienced the red run to it and from it back to the blues was easy. Skiing – was excellent for us. Our 2 kids were beginners and with 5 morning lessons by the end of the week were doing jumps and blue/red runs. One of the lifts was out of order for most of the time we were there but they kept other lifts open for longer to compensate. We rarely queued for a lift which was brilliant. There was so much snow and whilst temperatures were below zero we didn’t feel cold. The slopes Mon-Fri were quiet but at the weekend were slightly busier. On the Saturday we did the cruise which was brilliant

Als ich in diesem grossen, auf den ersten Blick nicht sehr ansprechenden Kasten gebucht habe, war ich vorher etwas besorgt. Dazu gab es dann in der Realität kaum Grund. Grossartig ist zunächst einmal die Lage auf der Stalheimsklava - trotz des schlechten Wetters haben wir den Ausblick genossen. Störend ist es allerdings, wenn Busse voller Touristen ebenfalls durch die Hotellobby strömen, um diesen Ausblick zu geniessen, und eine Viertelstunde später wieder zum Bus zurück strömen. Ausgezeichnet war das Buffet (und auch sehr vielfältig) zum Abendessen und zum Frühstück, wobei an den beiden Abenden, an denen ich zu Gast war, die Auswahl an warmen Speisen unterschiedlich war. Das Hotel wird anscheinend von Busgruppen häufig aufgesucht. In meinem Fall waren das an einem Abend amerikanische Senioren. Da empfiehlt es sich, sich an der Reception zu erkundigen, wann die Essenszeit haben. Mein Zimmer war geräumig, allerdings nicht ganz sauber, fanden sich doch noch längere Haare im sanitären Bereich, die unmöglich von meinem Kopf stammen können. Toll war, dass die Pianistin Dina Elena Drangsvoll an einem der beiden Abende auf dem historischen Flügel in der grossen Lobby gespielt hat.

Das Hotel ist das beste Hotel, in dem wir je in den norwegischen Fjorden übernachtet haben, mit großen Zimmern und Balkonblick. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze. Es gibt nur wenige große Hotels in der Umgebung, es gibt einige Gastfamilien, es gibt nur wenige kommerzielle Einrichtungen und es ist nicht bequem, Lebensmittel zu kaufen. Sie können sie im Tankstellenladen kaufen, bevor Sie losfahren. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und nachts sind nur sehr wenige Menschen unterwegs. Das Frühstück ist gut, man sollte eine Mahlzeit bestellen, sonst sollte man Instantnudeln essen. Es ist auch praktisch, Kinder mitzubringen, es gibt ein Dreibettzimmer, ein kleines Bett im kleinen Einzelzimmer, es gibt keine Tür.

After a rather exhausting day of charity work for a Humanitarian Aid group (loading goods for transport to Ukraine) it was very VERY welcome to arrive at this hotel. Staff at check-in was friendly and accommodating. Also - very positively - parking for our oversize vehicle was easy accessible and spacious. Standard rooms were big and openly furnished. They seemed clean and neat. Beds were comfortable and the room had a small balcony. During the evening the bar-staff were friendly and talkative, very accommodating also to requests they did not expect. The breakfast was stunning. Plenty of nice food presented in a beautiful manner. Bread was tasty and fresh and condiments plentiful. All in all a good and heartwarming experience, although not the cheapest hotel I've ever stayed at. ;-) Thanks. Will be back next time.
