Azur Hotel Volos ★★★★
"Fantastisches Zimmer mit vielen Extras: Handtücherkleid, Slips, Toiletten usw. Gute Lage für das Meer und den Hafen. Ich würde glücklich wieder bleiben."
Domotel Xenia Volos ★★★★★
"We had a lovely spacious sea facing room with a balcony. Beware that the city facing rooms looked very small. We were on the 3rd floor and there is a terrific rooftop open-air bar on the same floor. An excellent breakfast was included and it’s a half mile/one kilometer walk to the marina/downtown area. I highly recommend it if you’re in Volos!"
Portaria Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel is located just 5-10 minutes walk above the lovely village of Portaria. From most of the rooms you have a splendid view over the bay and city of Volos which can be accessed only by car in about 30 minutes along a windy but scenic road. The hotel is divided into several houses with no central hallway. Therefore you have to walk along the parking site in front of the hotel in order to access the wellness area. Swimming pool and fitness room cost an extra charge of 15,- EUR per day and sauna another 10,- EUR per person on top. Therefore we never saw people using it and this seems to be intended. We had a spacious junior suite with our own fire place. But when we lit the fire, the whole room was full of smoke despite a closed glas fire door. It seemed that others had the same problem since the room smelled already smoky on the day of our arrival. The personnel at the reception seems not be prepared for foreigners even though they spoke English quite reasonably. Different people were not very helpful and we always had the impression that they were glad when we did not bother them with questions. One highlight was the breakfast with a wide variety of fruit, bread, cake, cereals, cheese, omelette, sausages, fresh pressed orange juice, mountain tea etc."
Hotel Hani Zisi ★★
"Unfortunately, there was a big problem with the fireplace. In the hour that I was able to sit down (because I assumed it was something temporary), I found that the entire 1st floor had a big problem, since it was leaking smoke! When I asked the hotel if there was another room that wasn't leaking, the answer was negative, and the reason for the problem was that it was leaking because "wind is blowing and we can't do anything about it"!!!! Unfortunately for the hotel managers, I work for a technical company and have (also) worked on chimney installations. Therefore, I know that when the chimney is leaking smoke, it's not the wind's fault! Quite simply, either the construction is wrong or the chimney has not been maintained. Too bad, because the place seemed to be about the same as the photos, even if the room (triple) needed a renovation, while the tavern outside looked amazing. I say it seemed because I didn't sit down to eat, of course. Finally, the manager, in addition to writing me down in a place where ink doesn't get caught in my remarks about the tobacco, almost shouted at me (classic behavior of a Greek "businessman" when he doesn't need the customer) because I told him that I would delay leaving a little until I found another place to stay. And because I didn't want to "poison" (literally, because I have respiratory problems, and figuratively) my vacation any more, I got up and left. My "poisoning" cost me an overnight stay, as is also provided for by the hotel's policy. I was expecting something better because of the inconvenience, since I finally found somewhere to stay in the afternoon, and not in the mountains of course, but we said, it was August 15th and they didn't need us, so..."
Aegli Hotel Volos ★★★
"The hotel is generally OK. Because it is a short-term official business, it is not bad to stay for one night. The price is high."
1910 Lifestyle Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel is conveniently located, about a 10 minute walk from the port. The room is small but clean and tidy. Breakfast is good, and the view is excellent. I booked a sea-view room, which indeed offers a nice sea view, but it is also next to the road, so it can be a bit noisy at night."
Valeni Boutique Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Meine Familie und ich waren im Hotel für eine glückliche Gelegenheit des Christentums eines nahen Freundes Kind. Der Ort ist ruhig, und das Personal ist bereit, zu helfen und zu helfen. Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet mit Kaffee- und Teeausstattung, viele Handtücher. Das Spa bietet eine Vielzahl von Massage und verschiedene Verfahren."
Hôtel Argo ★
"I recommend this hotel if you’re going to be getting on the ferry or not. It’s a very nice hotel. The staff was fabulous. The room was great and the bed was awesome."

Hotel Karagianni
"We had the friendliest welcome of all our stays this trip. We are on a ladies motorbike tour of Greece so a warm welcome and immediate space made available for our bikes right outside the hotel was hugely appreciated. The rooms exceeded all expectation with thoughtful touches like a separate makeup face towel and toiletries which were lovely. Fluffy dressing gowns and slippers made it feel much more luxurious than the stars and price would suggest and the bed was the most comfortable of the whole trip for me. Air con worked perfectly so I got the best night sleep also and woke to an outstanding breakfast! Highly recommended and we’re very likely to stop off again on the way back through."
Valis Resort Hotel
"Das Hotel ist gut, es hat komfortable Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, es hat einen großen Pool, den wir nicht genutzt haben, weil wir im Winter kamen. Die Matratzen sind sehr gut."
Hotel Pelion Resort
"Just a one-night stay, but I was impressed by the courtesy and welcoming of the staff. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. The hotel is mostly made up of two-storey houses built on a hill overlooking the city of Volos with nice pathways and a swimming pool and bar in the middle. Although it was almost fully-booked, the peace and quiet was overwhelming at night. Short distance from Portaria main square, take your car there if you cannot handle the steep 15-minute walk."
Palladio Hotel - Portaria
"The room was awful when you entered the room.Of the five rooms only in one had towels, so we could get us to the rest of their rooms we asked for it three times and they finally brought them in the evening. The worst was that they did not turn on the heating, and in the rooms the temperature barely reached 18 degrees (then they closed the heating and fell to 16). Every 2-3 hours we had the time to look for the person responsible to do something with the burner that didn't work (even at 4 o'clock we were looking to turn on the heating so we wouldn't freeze). You understand that in a mountain destination and indeed in winter this is a big problem; the score with 1 star is done because there is no 0 (or even less)."
Despotiko
"There is a little exercise to get to the hotel, very well equipped, with a underground parking, very nice reception and a beautiful room that gives the swimming pool, we are five minutes from the delicious small restaurants, prepare good things to go, We loved a lot, the calm two steps from the center and the walks,"
Xenia Palace Portaria
"I and my wife stayed for 2 nights during a conference for pediatrics. The hotel has an interesting old architecture with heavy rustic furniture in the lounge and bar and more modern in the rooms. The breakfast room and the restaurant are placed outside of the hotel with a very good view to city of Volos and Pagasitikos golf. Breakfast is quiet good and rich. The stuff is well trained and gentle. The hotel is about 10 min by feet away of the village centre."
Tasia Mountain Hotel
"The hotel was centrally located for visiting both the east and west coasts of the northern area of the Pelion peninsula, (an area known for its winding roads which take a long time to get around). It was also spotlessly clean & comfortable and the breakfast superb. However, what makes this hotel really special is the warm, family atmosphere created by Anastasia who does everything she can to make your stay extra special. We would give her 15 out of 10 if we could! There is nothing to dislike but customers should be aware that out of season, there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity and we therefore profited from Anastasia's snack menu each evening."
Catherine Portaria Guest House
Erofili Hotel & Suites
