DO NOT STAY HERE. On arrival the owner asked if we would like him to charge us through ***********. We preferred to use a credit card and agree the amount there and then but he pretended to not be able to (we later saw several credit card machines in the office). All we could do was to confirm a price verbally to ensure it did not include VAT, which foreigners do not pay. Over a week later we were overcharged approximately 35 US dollars - around 22% higher than agreed, thus including VAT and a further overcharge. Neither the hotel or parent company responded to messages to refund appropriately. *********** should not allow hotels to charge more than the agreed price, and have not satisfactorily handled our request for assistance. As well as underhand practices, further reasons not to stay include the relatively expensive price; no 'do not disturb sign'; checking of the room when we left; and, a pretty poor breakfast in which you were given no choice in what fruit, jam, egg or coffee you were given.
