Wunderbares Hotel mit außergewöhnlicher Freundlichkeit und Sprachkenntnissen in Englisch, Spanisch und Deutsch. Wir haben auf dem Hinweg nach Spanien dort eine Zwischenübernachtung mit Frühstück gebucht und waren mehr als positiv überrascht. … und haben auf dem Rückweg nochmal dort übernachtet! Toller Service, ein sehr gutes, authentisches Frühstück und wirklich schöne Hotelzimmer haben uns beeindruckt :-)))

Auf dem Weg in die Bretagne übernachten wir schon seit Jahren in diesem tollen Hotel und unser Urlaub beginnt bereits mit Ankunft. Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich, zuvorkommend und bemüht. Die Gartenzimmer sind besonders zu empfehlen. Bei schönem Wetter genießen wir die Aperitifplatte des Hauses auf der gemütlichen Terrasse. Dieses Hotel können wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Such a lovely hotel. Our room was spacious, fresh and light looking out across the grounds and the neighbouring field of cows. Very peaceful. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom lovely. And really importantly the staff were all friendly and helpful. We had the fixed menu and as it was sunny this was served on the terrace, it was both delicious and great value. The hotel is totally deserving of all its glowing reviews and we wish we could have stayed longer - was definitely the best hotel we stayed in along the route. In case useful for others cycling - We visited as part of a self organised bike trip along the Loire - the hotel was helpful in both receiving and dispatching our luggage (which was booked by us through Bagafrance)

New and fresh rooms and facilities in a renovated abbey. My room was huge, bed firm and good, bathroom excellent. They offered a fixed menu dinner which was enjoyable and good value, but you have to understand that there is no choice. This would be a good base for a multi-day auto tour. I would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect halt close to Villandry and convenient for visiting the Loire valley vineyards and castles. We stayed two nights in the privilege room ( no.1) in the annex. Ground level. Large room. Spacious bathroom with a walk in shower. Air conditioning. Definitely worth the extra euros. The AC worked perfectly and was a welcome addition during the 37 degrees Celsius heat wave . Plenty of parking in front of the annex rooms. Large choice in the breakfast buffet served inside the main building or on the terrace between 7:30 and 9:30 AM. Use Google maps to find “ Les Barrières Blanches” instead of the GPS in your car. The hotel is located on D 121, but there are no signs on the road.

We had a great time.Pascal was a brilliant host and helped us with reservations for dinner. We loved the garden and jacuzzi. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed wine recommendations in the bar. We’ll set up for families. Great experience all round.

The hotel is a great location for a quiet stay between the visits to the Loire castles. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, including the bathroom with oversized bathtub. It was a treat to come back to a very quiet location after the excitement of visiting each castle. The castle of Villandry is in walking distance, and many others can be reached in less than a driving hour. The hotel offers a preset menu in the evening and a generous breakfast buffet. Parking is free and convenient. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is truly a little gem of comfort in the Loire valley.

We have just spent a 3 day weekend at this delightful hotel warmly welcomed by the owner and his staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay pleasurable as possible We only dined in the restaurant on the last evening but the meal was excellent The hotel was peaceful and calm but within easy reach of all the beautiful chateaux of the Loire we will definitely be back

Very cozy and friendly hotel with a nice feeling to it, friendly service. Short walk to Chateau de Villandry and good location to explore other hotels as well. Set among rolling hills of Loire River, this hotel is almost like zen meditation.
