Ficamos num excelente apartamento de 2 quartos no Gaia Residence que é conjugado ao hotel Hollyday Inn. O apartamento é completo com camas para 4, uma pequena cozinha, sala de estar e uma pequena mesa para refeições. Tudo é perfeito até a hora do excelente café da manhã, bastante completo, porém servido no mesmo ambiente para os dois hotéis. Aí ocorrem os problemas de superlotação. Uma guerra!!!

We stayed at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis for 7 nights. The hotel was modern and clean, staff were very helpful. The room was cleaned daily and products restocked. The location was perfect for us as situated close to motorway. We had a hire car for the week so the hotel car park was great for us. Burger King was next door so handy if wanted a quick coffee day or night. The hotel does have a bar. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, alongside a full continental selection. I recommend this hotel, we would certainly stay there again.

Das Hotel ist mit Geschmack und Stil eingerichtet. Der Empfang zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Lage zwischen den beiden Stadteilen mit 2 Eingängen ideal. Das Frühstücksbuffet und die Einrichtung des Restaurants sind sehr gut. Schöne Aussicht. Alle Bars werden zuwenig gereinigt. Manchmal geht die Reinigung des Zimmers wegen Vollbelegung vergessen. Bei der Reinigung meiner Lieblingsshorts gab es, da zu heiss gewaschen und zu heiss mit Bügelautomat (!) gebügelt mehr Flecken danach, als davor. Die Lederbeschriftung war verbogen, steif und angerissen und die Farbe des Leders auf der weissen Shorts verschmiert. Die Zimmer sind zu klein für den Preis und für ein 4 Sterne-Hotel. Beim Frühstück muss man am Eingang anstehen, der Tisch wird zugewiesen, aber der Zuweiser fehlt meistens. Innen sind aber die Hälfte aller Tische sichtbar frei. Schikane für Kunden für nichts. Bei berechtigten Reklamationen wird die ständig im Restaurant herumsitzende Leitung schnippisch. Sehr arrogant. Für eine im Flur von einem Gast verlorene Platin-Kreditkarte gab es bei der Rückgabe an der Rezeption weder ein Dankeschön, noch die Meldung, ob die Karte beim Besitzer erfolgreich angekommen ist. Service? Gespielt. Frühstück gibt es am Wochenende erst ab 8. das heisst für alle Gäste mit Flügen vor 11.30 kein Frühstück. Erst als ich das monierte an der Reception, kam der Vorschlag für eine Frühstücksbox zum Mitnehmen. Das Hotel mag keine Reklamationen. Auch dann nicht, wenn diese berechtigt sind. Wenn wir das nächste Mal nach Porto fliegen, wird es wieder neue schöne Hotels geben.

Porto has always been rated highly so was a little concerned that the Novotel was on the other side of the Douro River. Quickly dismissed on arrival when we were greeted at reception by Aderito Diaspora. A most charming man who made every one signing in to the hotel feel very special - being multilingual helps. Free with advice on what to see, what and where to eat and the best places for shopping. A trip into Porto was a little as €4 and never more than €10 and this included a ride to beautiful shopping complex of El Conte Ingles. So leaving the hustle and bustle of Oporto to the calm of Afurada was a plus. The suggestion to walk down to the quaint fishing village of San Pedro with an Uber to take us back was greatly appreciated as we were able to see the Uber coming right up to our restaurant table. All hotels should have an Aderito Diaspora.

Dieses Hotel kommt spät an und geht früh, ohne sorgfältige Beobachtung. Erstens ist es ein bisschen schwierig, es mit dem Auto alleine zu finden. Viele Städte in Portugal haben ein bisschen Chongqing-Bedeutung. Wenn Sie eine Kreuzung verpassen, müssen Sie einen großen Kreis umrunden. Zweitens den gleichen Namen Hotels am selben Ort haben rote und grüne Farben. Sie können keine Fehler machen, welche gebucht sind, und akzeptieren sich nicht gegenseitig. Drittens ist der Zimmertyp klein und Familienreisen werden nicht empfohlen. Viertens ist der Preis etwas teurer. Die fünfte und vierundzwanzig Stunden. Es gibt Restaurants, die gut schmecken, sechstens gibt es kostenlose Parkplätze. Da ich zu spät ankam, ohne Fotos zu machen, ist die Hygiene gut. Wenn Ihnen der Preis nichts ausmacht, können Sie darüber nachdenken.

Sehr zentral gelegenes komfortables Hotel mit angenehm ausgestattetem Zimmer und freundlichem Service. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Jederzeit wieder. Alle zentral gelegenen Sehenswürdigkeiten waren zu Fuß sehr gut zu erreichen.

I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!

Angenehmes Hotel der gehobenen Klasse in ruhiger Lage am kilometerlangen Sandstrand südlich von Porto, großzügige Gartenanlage mit Pool, Spielplatz und Minigolf, komfortabel, ruhig, obwohl zwischen Küstenbahn und Straße gelegen. Höfliches und freundliches Personal. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge (Autobahnanbindung). Empfehlenswert, wenn man über einen Mietwagen verfügt. Der Ort Espinho ist zwar fußläufig zu erreichen (20 - 30 Minuten), wenn man dort am Abend essen will, ist ein Auto natürlich angenehm, Wer Porto besuchen möchte, kann mit der Bahn ab Espinho fahren oder mit dem Auto beim Einkaufszentrum El Corte Ingles parken und mit der Metro ins Zentrum fahren. Grosse, angenehme Betten, Zimmer mit Meerblick empfehlenswert, Mobiliar etwas in die Jahre geraten, aber akzeptabel, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Frühstücksbuffet sehr umfangreich und große Auswahl, Kaffee aus der Kanne wird Standard des Hotels nicht gerecht, Automat wäre angebracht. Bei Vollbelegung des Hotels ist Frühstück im Veranstaltungssaal, hier geht die Atmosphäre verloren und es ist relativ laut, bei weniger Belegung findet Frühstück wie auf den Fotos im angenehmen Restaurant statt. Preisgünstiges Abendmenü (26 Euro p. P.) mit Vorspeise/Suppe, Auswahl aus 5 Hauptspeisen und großzügigem Dessertbuffet. Schöne Weinkarte mit feinen Portugal-Weinen zum Superpreis. Getrennte Textil-Sauna ohne separaten Ruhebereich ist ein No-Go für Paare, der Wellnessberiech kam für uns deshalb nicht in Frage.

Sauberes modernes und günstiges Hotel in 10 Minuten Fußweg oder 3,5€ Uber Fahrt zum Flughafen Porto. Ganz bequem, um von dort abzufliegen. Was mir persönlich in dem Hotel gefehlt hat, waren zwei Dinge: 1) Toilettenbürste 😆 und 2) Wasserkocher, um Kaffee oder Tee zu trinken. Frühstücken konnten wir nicht, weil unser Abflug um 06:55 Uhr war. Daher Wasserkocher wäre perfekt.
