Hotel Katy

I really would like to keep this lovely little hotel a secret! The location is great for the seafront and also the very large park. Our room was very well appointed, immaculately clean with good A/C which was necessary in 30+ degree temperatures. We had a balcony room which was good to sit out on in the evening. There was also a little fridge. The breakfast was good, with a range of options. The coffee was especially good. But the absolute stars of the show are the staff. So friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Overall a fantastic stay and this will be our chosen place to stay on future visits.

My sister and I stayed for a week at this lovely family run hotel. Our room had a balcony and was spotlessly clean. We only expected a Continental breakfast and was surprised with a variety of fruit, cereals, yogurt, pastries etc. A hot option was also available. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke fluent English. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality at Hotel Katy.

This was the third time we have stayed at Hotel Katy and we were made to feel very welcome returners. The rooms are simple and comfortable. Having a balcony is a definite bonus. Rooms are well cleaned daily. Only thing missing is a kettle in the room for a night time drink! All the staff are friendly, special mention to the lady who makes the coffee at breakfast and the two reception staff. Hope to return for many years to come.

We booked Hotel Katy based on the reviews we read here and agree with everything that’s already been said. We did wish we had booked a room with a balcony and asked if we could move but they were all already booked. Our room was a reasonable size and spotlessly clean with excellent air con but really no view at all unless you leant out of the window! We loved the aircon in the communal areas, getting out of the lift was a particular joy! The breakfast was fine but we didn’t understand the rave reviews, pretty standard hotel breakfast but all you need and of course bottomless! Morning staff (the lady with the child) deserve a special mention - you felt absolutely nothing was too much trouble for her and the night porter was really nice. The hotel is in a great location just off the main drag and we would definitely stay here again. We were recommended Bagno Maurizio and Stefano is lovely and an absolute pro but we preferred Bagno il Sole which cost about the same and we were able to have beds closer to the sea (also nice to have a restaurant on site). Swimming hats have to be worn in all the pools! The cycling is cool and breezy - we rented 2 bikes for 4 days from a lady in the forest which only cost 40euros in total!!! It gave us freedom to explore and there are cycle paths everywhere.

Loved our room, 402 with big balcony. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well stocked and fresh. Perfect location too. Alessandra on reception was particularly welcoming and organised transfers and helped us plan days out. Can’t fault any of the staff at all.
