Nice little hotel set in the north of the city near a service canal. Good base if a little tired in decor. We had room 400 which was spacious and adequate, this is situated to the front of the hotel overlooking a Trattoria restaurant which is not linked to the hotel. The restaurant closed at 10pm so there was not much disruption from this although there is a fruit/juice shack at the end of the alley on the main walkway which closed at 3am and the shutters being used did cause us some disturbance. Building work is also happening opposite to our window and they started around 7:30-8:00am. Reception were very helpful with information being as this was our first time in Venice and whilst we’d travelled by pre-paid shared water taxi from the airport, we needed advice for our return which they supplied the best/cheapest option. We also had an early start before breakfast (which is 7:45 til 10 am) and they kindly arranged for a breakfast box each which was more than substantial made up of fruit and pastries. The breakfast was served in an Osteria restaurant which you reach through the back from the hotel reception but can also be accessed from the square behind the hotel alleyway off the main walkway. Must pay a tourist tax to the hotel of €3.50 per visitor per night so as we stayed 4 nights this cost us €28 upon arrival, which they require in cash. Great little location, would stay again.

Just completed our third visit to this lovely little hotel. Central position but still in a little area near a canal for easy access. You can arrive by water taxi to the canal next to the hotel, which we chose to do this year, as we had our daughter and son in law with us. The hotel pre booked the water taxi and I had a message as soon as we landed to confirm where we were to meet. Excellent service and well worth the extra to arrive swiftly and feel a little bit special! The rooms are traditional and moderately sized, clean and warm. Air con if required (be great in summer) Staff are so helpful and friendly Simple breakfast with all you need to set you up for a busy day. Easy to get back to for a rest during the day before setting off in another direction to explore! Easy walk to the bus and train station. All transport option for the airport can be used to easily reach here. Thank you once again Carol

Stayed here for a week. A very convenient location, roughly halfway between the railway station and St. Mark’s, and easily accessible from the Alilaguna stop at Madonna dell’Orto for travelling to and from the airport. The location seemed slightly more residential than some, with plenty of decent restaurants around, many frequented by locals. Our room in the hotel annexe (with easy access to the breakfast area) was clean and well-appointed. The staff (reception, housekeeping, restaurant) were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant (under the name Osteria Santa Fosca) was good on the one evening we ate there. A buffet breakfast is served there from 7.45 am (and on the day we had to leave early for the airport a ‘breakfast box’ was provided) – nothing special, but a perfectly adequate start to the day. Would recommend as a good value option.

This hotel did not live up to expectations, it was extremely dirty, and the bed had bed bugs. Although the staff changed the sheets, these still remained. The hotel dining area was at the back of a shop and the breakfasts were poor. It was on the main area not too far from The station and The Rialto Bridge, the re were plenty of shops and restaurants, The Pizza restaurant next door was excellent

A traditional hotel in a good location. Rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything you needed for a short stay: kettle, hairdryer. Room had air con but wasn’t required when I was there. We stayed in the annex across the road from the hotel with a view of the street. Some noise from passersby could be heard but I didn’t close the shutters. The breakfast was good. Selection of teas/coffees, breads/pastries/cereals/fruit/yoghurt/fruit juices/boiled eggs/cheese and hams. Also went to the bar there a couple of evenings and lovely atmosphere. Great find for the price we paid - could walk to main tourist attractions and water buses easily. Able to store luggage on departure and was able to check in early on arrival. Would recommend.
