Casa San Roque Valladolid

Casa San Roque is a charming small hotel located a short distance from Valladolid’s lovely main square. Our room was on the compact side but had 2 comfortable double beds and a decent shower room. It was clean and quiet. The hotel has a small garden to the rear with small pool. Breakfast was good and served on a small terrace. Staff were friendly and helpful. If revisiting Valladolid I would happily stay here again.

Hotel San Roque We left Hotel San Roque after one night, although we were booked for 5 nights. Our experience at Hotel San Roque was absolutely AWEFUL! Upon arrival, we were initially impressed with the property grounds. The concierge was very nice and helpful. However, those are the only positives I can express about San Roque. The room we were given first did not have running water. The air conditioning was poor and the ceiling fan was extremely noisy. Obviously the more pressing issue was a lack of running water for showers, toilet flushing and hand washing. 30 mins after informing staff of the water issues, they told us we could “use the shower in another room”. We requested to change rooms altogether and we’re met with apprehension. They reluctantly allowed us to switch rooms but stated it would be an additional charge. The room was a couple square feet larger, no additional amenities. Unless, of course, you consider running water an amenity. That night, we listened to the pounding music from a nearby club until 3:00am. It was so loud it rattled the windows. The next morning, we informed them we would be checking out due to the lack of running water in the first room and the extreme noise all night. They denied our request for a refund. About 10 minutes later, the concierge knocked on our door to offer an “upgrade to the suite.” By that time we had already had a horrible experience and were told we would not be compensated for the inconvenience but would, in fact, have to pay more to have a room with running water and efficient appliances. It was too little, too late. Now, let’s talk about the room. The bed did not come with a blanket, only a sheet. There was a laminated paper with strange rules, including no eating in your room. The toilet did not flush well due to lack of water pressure. We’ve stayed in many places throughout Mexico - Jalisco, Nayarit, Quintana Roo, Yucatán, Guerrero - and this is the worst experience we’ve had in México. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. And always use a credit card for additional recourse, as Hotel San Roque will attempt to keep your money.

The rooms were clean and nice! It was nice to have breakfast on site. It's obvious the staff care about what they do. We were greeted with a friendly smile every day! The pool was convenient to take a dip in after the days adventures! Good location for walking around town and felt safe the entire time.

Had a lovely stay for 3 nights here. Staff and reception were really friendly and helpful including local recommendations. Location is superb only minutes from centre square. Rooms basic but very clean and nice bathroom. Small garden and pool area but nicely lit and a great place to sit and unwind, though limited seating. Breakfast excellent value for money with to die for buttery toast and freshly squeezed orange juice. We sampled three different types of eggs and all very good but need to give reception advanced warning. Downside is no coffee making facilities in room and no where to get a drink in hotel, though they replenish bottled water every day which was much appreciated. Overall this is a lovely boutique hotel with friendly staff in a great location for a reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

Нам достался номер на 2 этаже, с видом на сад и бассейн. Утром гарантированно проснетесь от звонкого пения птиц и звона колоколов, но нам не мешало. В номере красивая деревянная мебель, шкаф, зеркало с тумбочкой и пуфиком. Ванная чистая, фен в наличии, много полотенец, набор шампунь/гель для душа/мыло. Территория отеля небольшая, но милая, около бассейна все в цветах. Вкусные завтраки. Можете припарковать машину на улице, напротив отеля, места есть. Менеджер помог нам с парковкой, рассказал куда можно сходить, всегда был приветлив!

Très joli petit hôtel tenu par une famille depuis plusieurs générations. Très central. Ils vous donnent un ticket pour que vous puissiez vous garer dans le parking public à 200m de l’hôtel. Le petit déjeuner est bon, oranges pressées fraîches, mais pas très copieux. Nous verrons plus tard que ce sont les standards du Mexique. Les chambres sont meublées de vieux meubles familiaux, on se croirait en Espagne. Le personnel, est sympathique, quoiqu’un peu rigide : interdiction de fumer dehors près des chambres. On va dans la rue ou au fond du jardin près de la piscine si on ne dérange pas.
