Logis Hôtel la Magnanerie - Côté Bistro

Overall disappointing although the hotel seems to have everything to become a good hotel..We did not get the feeling we were really welcome . Rather than "une table remarquable" the restaurant was rather pretentious and lacked flair not only with the cooking but also with the service.Overall not good value for money.

Attended a wedding at La Magnanerie and stayed in a suite. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The space outside is very peaceful and well decorated. The room was lovely and a good size. At first I was worried there was no air conditioning as the weather was very warm and I didn't want to risk letting bugs in at night by keeping the windows open. However, using the fan provided and opening the windows but keeping the curtains shut, cooled the room down well enough and we weren't troubled by mosquitos etc. There were no tea or coffee making facilities, or fridge, however we were able to get a bottle of water for the room at the bar. Overall, I would recommend La Magnanerie. They did a fabulous job serving the wedding dinner which was delicious so I can recommend the restaurant also.

Sadly we are currently staying at this hotel - it is deserted - there are no staff - we have stayed for 2 nights. We would like to have a drink at the bar - but at reception there was only a bill left for us - we had to telephone to find out the code to get in on the first day - and collect our own key - find our room. The breakfast was left out for the flies on both days when we returned in the evening. It is beside a busy road. The room is very small but clean - there is air con but no kettle - so we have not had a hot drink (or cold) during our stay. We have bought drinking water at the supermarket as only a tiny bottle was provided. It is the strangest hotel with no one here - absolutely no one. The smell is rather strange as well and some of the outside area falling apart. Please try and find somewhere else. We will double lock our door tonight and leave early.

I loved the staff. Everyone - especially Amelia - was very nice and helpful. The restaurant was very good. I was never able to get the wifi to work in my room despite a lot of assistance. Great base for lavender, which was why I came.

What a beautiful place! The grounds are amazing and nicely kept. I wish we’ve had more time to stay and enjoy the views, but we had to leave early the next morning. However, we loved what we were able to enjoy: the biggest room we had in our entire trip, the most spacious and nicely decorated bathroom, and the wonderful staff that treated us so well! It is worth to mention that this hotel is located in one of the most beautiful areas that we visited in France. The landscapes are breathtaking!

Check in, there was no staff present, had to look for a phone number online, they hadn't bothered to write it on the info board at the door. Finally got through to someone who spoke poor English. Was guided in - using a code for the door. Then I was directed to the reception where I could take the key. In the room, there were no towels... Again, call the person.... Down to the reception and pick up a key to another room where I could take towels from. The room has not been properly cleaned for a long time (maybe before Corona?) there were cobwebs all over, the lamp in the toilet was half covered in cobwebs. Breakfast... Rarely have I seen such a poor supply of food items. Dry bread, dry cheese and then we could not compensate for the dry by smearing extra butter – the butter was 2-3 months over "used before date" – even the Nutella was 1 month over. We complained to the staff (only one person) who couldn't speak a word of English. No regrets on the part of the hotel that the breakfast was as it was, he just shrugged. All in all, a very bad experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
