THE KNOT UTSUNOMIYA

Located right outside of JR station. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, had enough space for opening my luggage. Supermarkets and konbinis were located close by.

The hotel is new, affordable, and conveniently located near both the train station and the bus terminal. There’s no need to worry about food since there’s a McDonald’s right in front of the hotel. The service is also excellent - the staff are very friendly and able to communicate in multiple languages. However, there is one downside. The room was quite dusty, and even though I stayed for several nights, the hotel did not provide daily room cleaning service. Guests have to pay an additional fee if they want the room cleaned.

Spacious and clean room with three comfortable beds, perfect for families or small groups. The room is simple, modern, and well-lit, with a cozy sofa area to relax. Everything felt tidy and comfortable, making it a great place to rest after a day of exploring.

Great stay in this newly opened hotel, 50m from the Utsunomiya train station and 50mins train to and from Nikko if you want to visit the park. To get in, just go in the bar/restaurant and the elevator will be on the right hand side. Everything is clean and working well, had a good overall experience here, I recommend

Beautiful hotel, great location across from then main station. Must be new it’s so flawless! Only feedback would be a sign letting you know to enter cafe to level 2 reception, room 1223 was hard to find with the signs randomly located on an unlit door (looks like a room number) and while great attention to service - constantly facing you at the lift doors until they close is a little intense (even for Japan standards). Would recommend to anyone ! Especially for the price

Excellent place, and very nice room. The one complaint would be that soundproofing from room the corridor is not great. Often hear guess talk and go in and out of rooms. Otherwise, a great stay. The adjoining bakery is great on the ground level.

The Knot Utsunomiya is a brand‑new hotel (opened December 2025) with a prime location directly opposite Utsunomiya Station, and it does feature a stylish café and restaurant. However, my overall stay was disappointing. - Check‑in & Service: Staff seemed inexperienced and a bit confused. When I requested extra pillows, I was told only one extra could be provided because the hotel “does not have so many pillows,” which felt unusual for a new property. - Lobby & Atmosphere: The lobby music was very loud, making the space feel noisy rather than welcoming. - Room Design: The room looked spacious at first glance, but the layout wasn’t practical. The table was tiny, leaving little space to put personal items. It felt like the design prioritized appearance over usability. - Noise Issues: Soundproofing was poor. I could hear conversations from the next room and even snoring at night. In the morning, housekeeping staff made loud noises while cleaning other rooms, which disturbed my rest. - Positives: The café and restaurant are nice, and the location opposite the station is extremely convenient. Overall: While the hotel is new and well‑located, the service, noise control, and room functionality need improvement. Hopefully, with time and experience, The Knot Utsunomiya will refine its operations and deliver a more comfortable stay.

Overall great stay. Hotel of choice in Utsunomiya. Room could use a few more storage spots.
