WE FURTHER ENJOYED OUR OUTING TO THE SPIOENKOP BATTLEFIELD WHICH IS ABOUT 30KMS FROM THE LODGE."

We loved the hikes that start at the resort. No need to drive anywhere to do hikes. We can’t wait to go back and highly recommend this resort!"

"Mehr geht fast nicht. Echt luxuriöse Lodge, toll gelegen mit Blick auf das sog. Amphittheater der Drakensberge. Großer Bungalow mit Fußbodenheizung im Bad und Gaskamin. Sind nur 18 insgesamt. Reetgedeckt, eigene Terrasse, Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Grundstück ist umzäunt und gesichert. Einsame Lage weit außerhalb. Nachts ist es total still.... was für ein Erlebnis. Sehr freundliches Personal, luxuriöses Ambiente mit Pool, Liegewiese, riesiger Wiese, Restaurant, Aufenthaltsräumen..... Ein Highlight für jeden SA-Urlaub!!!"

"The resort is beautifully designed with the full view of the majestic Amphitheater, the very spacious, well equipped chalets are so peaceful and with good distance to the other chalets to keep your stay privately. The private braai and esp. the hot tub are a real plus and very enjoyable. Breakfast buffet is very good, the staff are so helpful and friendly, although the pancakes were very different on 2 different days (no critics there😀 - one world-class, one good average), good portions and fresh, maybe a professional coffee/espresso-machine could be a perfect addition. We did also a challenging hike up to Sentinel Peak/Tugela Falls via the chain ladders which were thrustfully and professionally arranged and accompanied by Lunga on recommendation by the General Manager, Anton, who is the mastermind behind all the organization and communication in the resort. With his life experience and communication skills he lifts all other staff, esp. at reception to a new level which made our stay really a highlight of our trip, thanks again!"

"We had a wonderful stay with Paul and Patricia our hosts. We stayed in The Barn and it was very spacious and rustic, which suited our family and friends. We had our catering handled by the team at Drakensberg Mountain Retreat and everything was handled nicely so we could all just relax. The short walk was very scenic and some ventured to do the 7km trail run too. An afternoon spent with the kids near the upper dams was very memorable too as mud, water and fun was enjoyed."

"Ich glaube nicht, dass meine Frau für uns eine bessere Lage wählen könnte. Von der Unterkunft, freundlich, aufmerksames Personal und der allgemeinen Atmosphäre von Three Tree Hill, Es hat alles geliefert, was wir hoffen und wir die Gelegenheit, ihre Battlefield Touren, Pferderei und Wanderungen zu nehmen. Meine Frau konzentrierte sich auf die Entspannung mit einem Buch neben unserem kleinen Pool sowie auf dem Pferderei, während ich alle drei ihrer lokalen Kampftouren, The Battles of Ladysmith, Colenso und Spionkop nahme. Ich wurde auf diese Touren von Ruben und Simon, dem Besitzer, genommen. Beide haben eine fantastische Arbeit geleistet und ich genossen insbesondere die laminierten Fotos von vielen der Individuen, die an den Kämpfen beteiligt waren, die mir wirklich erlaubten, die Männer mit der Geschichte zu verbinden. Während Spionkop sehr speziell ist, alle drei Touren erlaubte mir das größere Bild zu verstehen. Danke an alle auf Three Tree Hill, wir werden sicher zurück."

Auf Nachfrage wurde zunächst mehrfach behauptet, dass der Betrag längst erstattet wäre. Ich solle meine Auszüge überprüfen. Erst nach 3 Monaten habe ich endlich Geld zurückbekommen, aber nicht die vollständige Summe. Nachfragen werden einfach ignoriert bzw. nicht beantwortet. So kann man auch sein Geld verdienen."
