Despite its name, this isn't what North Americans consider a hostel. All the rooms are separate, with baths n suite. Our room was spotless. the linens were high quality. The window opened onto a small rose garden. The staff were helpful. Most spoke English but welcomed Spanish -- even our Tex Mex variety. Although it is only two blocks above Ushuaia's main street and three blocks from the port, the neighborhood was quiet. The included breakfast was a rather modest continental version, but plenty to tide us over until a more substantial lunch or brunch at one of the restaurants nearby.

I hate leaving bad reviews; travelling here from the US was a long and exhausting process. I arrived at 07:30, way ahead of check in, and didn't expect a room, but maybe a place where I could sit and have coffee. Gentlemen at the desk said coffee was part of breakfast buffet, that I needed to wait until I was checked in for the next day. Really? I couldn't have coffee even though I was booked here two nights? Wow. I got checked in at 1, which was fine, but the room was uncomfortably warm. I found the thermostat and turned the heat to cool. Tried to nap (up all night traveling here), but it was too warm. And, I heard people talking like they were in my room. They were in an adjacent room - talking in normal voices - no sound barrier at all! I set the air to the coldest setting and left, returned a couple of hours later and the room was hot. I called the front desk and was told no air conditioning and to open a window. Loud construction and traffic - and the neighbors talking = no sleep again. Day 2, repeat. New neighbors talking, room still hot, loud noises out the window. The hotel also offers free WiFi, but it was slow and intermittent at best. Just terrible. I thought I would give them a pass on that since we were at the ”end of the world,” but found the restaurants I ate at had good WiFi. Asides: no water or coffee available except until 10:00. The bigger issue was water, as the guides I read claimed ”tap water in Ushuaia is not potable.” I've traveled to Africa (several times), Borneo, Thailand, Norway, S Korea, Costa Rica - every place I've stayed provided water, and most had coffee or other beverages available throughout the day as complimentary. To be fair, they provided bottled water in the rooms - but in the mini bar for a price. And breakfast? The breakfast plates they provide are the size of coffee saucers! And the first thing they took away from the breakfast bar was the coffee pot!! So - not impressed. I would not stay here again.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Die Straße dahinter ist die Geschäftsstraße. Die Vorderseite ist der Hafen. Zum Pier auf See gelangen Sie in drei oder fünf Minuten zu Fuß, etwa 100 Meter vom Ende des Weltmuseums entfernt. Aber das Hotel ist sehr alt, die Zimmer sind klein und die Einrichtungen sind durchschnittlich. Die Rezeption spricht Englisch, der Service ist sehr gut und wir empfehlen Reisebüros und Restaurants für uns. Der Service an der Rezeption ist fünf Sterne wert

El hotel está en la calle principal, pleno centro. Calle transitada. Tarde en la noche se sienten algunas motos, pero el ruido es tolerable, luego . . . silencio. Las medias lunas del desayuno son lo mejor !! No hay frutas, quizás porque las mismas son sumamente caras en el sur argentino. Camas cómodas, habitación algo pequeña, baño con tina y buena fuerza en el agua. No hay comida como para almorzar o cenar, sí pizzas y hamburguesas.

Fuí dos días al hotel. Está muy bien ubicado, el desayuno tiene variedad, la habitación era acogedora y tenía todo lo que necesitamos! El personal súper amable y atento. La única crítica, que me pareció bastante grave, es que cuando hicimos el check out y dejamos las valijas por dos horas en el subsuelo del hotel. Al momento de retirarlas encontramos un carry con el candado forzado. Es una pena que no cuiden al cliente y la experiencia no sea un diez por estas cosas.

Giant Apartment. Es hat alle Geräte, um zu kochen und ruhig zu essen. Aussicht auf den Ushuaia Bay und den Beagle-Kanal. Check-in ist im Hotel Alto Andino, das in der gleichen Gegend, aber leicht zugänglich ist. Nachdem sie Ihnen ein Passwort geben, dann müssen Sie nicht zurück la zu nichts, noch den Check out. Das Gebäude ist gut gelegen, wir haben alles zu Fuß gemacht: Supermarkt, Restaurants, Geschäfte, Spaziergänge, Fotos der Platten von Ushuaia.

Lassen Sie mich zuerst über die Mängel sprechen. Das Zimmer ist zu klein und die Einrichtungen im Zimmer sind unvollständig. Das ganze Zimmer hat nur zwei Steckdosen, eine unter dem Tisch und eine im Bad, was unpraktisch ist. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, aber es gibt eine elektrische Heizung, es ist sehr nahe am Tisch, es kann leicht verbrüht werden und die Schalldämmung ist nicht gut. Das Frühstück ist durchschnittlich, aber in Ushuaia im Winter gibt es frisches Obst, Fleisch und Fülle, sodass Sie nicht zu viel verlangen können, und das Gebäck ist sehr lecker. Das Hotel liegt auf einem Hügel, in einiger Entfernung vom touristischen Zentrum von Ushuaia. Es dauert 20 Minuten zu Fuß und nimmt ein Taxi für 100 Pesos, etwa 10 Yuan, was akzeptabel ist. Sonst fühlt sich der starke Schnee immer noch wie auf dem Schnee nach Hause an. Neben den Vorteilen ist die Landschaft unbesiegbar, denn am Hang ist die Aussicht hervorragend und die Hotellobby überblickt den gesamten Hafen. Auf der anderen Seite ist ein kleiner Wald. An dem Tag, an dem ich dort ankam, lag viel Schnee, silbern bedeckt und sehr komfortabel. Dann scheint das Hotel unter dem Dach eines Tourismuskonzerns zu stehen. Es gibt Hotels und Reisebüros in der Innenstadt, daher sind die Tickets für Nationalparks und Leuchttürme sehr ermäßigt. Sie können auch von der Tür zum Park abholen und absetzen, was sehr praktisch ist.

Das Hotel der Kreuzfahrtunternehmen ist häufig reserviert. Die Lage auf dem Berg ist etwas weit von der Stadt entfernt, aber von der Hotelzimmer können Sie die Stadt und den Hafen in der ganzen Welt verstecken. Sie können auch Eis und die Landschaft sehen. Das Restaurant im Hotel ist auch ziemlich gut. Wenn Sie nicht in die Stadt gehen wollen, können Sie auch das argentinische Geschmack genießen. Das Hotel bietet einen Bus in der Stadt an. Wenn Sie nicht auf einen Bus warten wollen, können Sie das Hotel helfen, einen Taxi zu rufen. Es genügt, um in das Zentrum zu gehen.

Awsome place, the city, the resort, the activities, all was 10 out of 10!! will come back for sure. The Spa is the highlight, the different pools and jacuzzis will relax you entirely. The restaurants were so good. And as an added bonus they have a free transfer service to the city center.
