The Wall Trail between Franconia and Thuringia as a former inner German border is about 2 km away. The neighboring state of Thuringia with the Saale-Unstrut region is also easy to reach and offers many excursion possibilities. The medieval towns of Coburg and Kulmbach are ideal for entertaining day trips.
