Steps from a beautiful beachside path that winds past a lighthouse and gardens to a nature ark, The Oyster Box is beautifully situated in Umhlanga Rocks with amazing views from rooms and restaurants. The rooms are cozy with everything you need for a luxurious stay, including in our case celebratory welcome balloons, cake and other snacks. We had one with a deep shady deck - perfect for whiling away the day watching the water. The whole building is charming - and has a beautiful secret courtyard with a pool, a wall of orchids and many little nooks for quiet contemplation. There is a lovely library and a top floor bar. There is a second pool tucked below the restaurant on the beach side so both have views. Speaking of the restaurant - we enjoyed spectacular meals there - breakfasts were amazing - the buffet supplemented by a pancake station with every imaginable topping (my favourite were the Italian cherries); lunches and dinners featured fresh seafood, impeccably presented. Throughout our stay, all the personnel made us feel like we were staying with old friends. I want to single out the art in the hotel - there are beautiful tile mosaics throughout the buildings and grounds, but also an outstanding collection of contemporary South African art. Even if you don’t go up there for a drink, it is well worth exploring the top floor and indeed all the public gallery spaces.

My first time at this hotel. Very disappointing. Lets elaborate: 1. The initial meeting when checking in was very pleasant, but unfortunately dealing with the morning crew was just painful. L*nd* was just plain uninterested when I asked about room options, I almost got the impression that he was being spiteful because I was taking up his time. No*iph* was also unpleasant to deal with. Even though I am a gold member she just demonstrated a rigid attitude to any of my requests. Thanks to Basheer who I escalated to and who upgraded and even discounted my parking. 2. It seems that unless you escalate even a simple thing like requesting a towel to a duty manager then it doesnt happen. We were ignored when we asked for liquid soap and a replacement iron and only received towels after escalating. Thanks to duty managers both named Andile for supporting me in this regard but these are really not things that I ask for that require begging. Overall this hotel didnt make me feel like a gold member or like someone who visits Durban on average 8 times a year and is always looking for a hotel. It seems that its only Hilton by name and soap products and not by culture. I would like the Hotel GM to contact me to discuss how this hotel will actually make me feel like a (Gold) guest going forward.

Die Beverly Hills ist und hat immer eine wunderbare Erfahrung. Die Mitarbeiter sind oben und darüber im Dienst. Zimmer übersehen das Meer und haben spektakuläre Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang. Alle Mahlzeiten sind außergewöhnlich, Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit seinem wunderbaren Buffet ist ein Vergnügen, den Tag zu beginnen.

This is a comfortable business hotel. Rooms are decently sized and bathrooms are okay too, the washbasin is a small one though. Couple of bummers : Gave one glass bottle of water, replenishments were in the form of plastic bottles. If you ask for the same glass bottle (which I do because of environmental reasons), they don't give it. Breakfast was very decent and overall service was good. A big issue is that they dont have room service for food. They have only beverages that can be ordered to your rooms! The reason is 'we have many restaurants around us'. I found this to be funny. Hotel is well located and opt for higher floors for good views.

Wir hatten eine erstaunliche Erfahrung im Holiday Inn Express, Umhlanga. Dies muss einer der besten Service, den ich je erlebt habe (lokal und international inbegriffen). Würde nicht zögern, diese Einrichtung sehr zu empfehlen. Einchecken war großartig. Brendan und das Team waren extrem willkommen, freundlich und effizient. Wir wurden ins Zimmer ohne Zeit eingesperrt und über alle Einrichtungen informiert. Wir reisen als Gruppe und das Team half uns, Zimmer nahezu zu gewinnen, was so bequem war. Das Frühstück war schränkend und der Service überstieg unsere Erwartungen. Trisha und das Team nehmen ihre Arbeit und Service für die Kunden so ernst - wie es ihr eigenes Unternehmen ist. Mein Sohn wollte Schokolade-Muffins und sie kochen es speziell für ihn - wie erstaunlich ist das! Wir gingen früh zum Flughafen und Trisha bot ab 5am Frühstück bereit - war so beeindruckt und dankbar. Das muss eines der besten Hotels der Welt sein. Kudos für das Team und Führung. Das Hotel ist in einer tollen Lage und das Personal war hilfreich und freundlich. Ich mag das Restaurant/ Zimmerservice-Menü nicht besonders, da es nur Milkshakes auf ihrem Getränkemenü hatte. Sie müssen über andere Getränke wie Wein, Saft, Kaffee usw. fragen. Es wäre schöner, wenn alle Getränkepreise aufgelistet würden. Die Kessel in meinem Zimmer war schmutzig, aber Hausaufbewahrung und der Vordertafel waren entschuldigt und ersetzte sie schnell mit einer sauberen Kessel. Jedes Café oder Restaurant um das Hotel öffnet sich bei 9a.m, so empfehle ich Ihnen, für das Frühstücksbuffet zu bezahlen, wenn Sie ein früher Vogel wie ich sind. Ich habe von Ladevorrichtungen gelernt, nachdem ich von einem Tag aus zurückgekommen war und keine Kraft außer einem Licht und dem Fernseher in meinem Zimmer gefunden. Für ausländische Gäste, die es nicht wissen, könnte es ein schöner Kontakt sein, wenn das Hotel den Ladezeitplan in den Gästezimmern platzieren könnte, so dass es nicht als eine unweltbedingte Überraschung kommt. Das Bett war komfortable und das WiFi war normalerweise schnell. Insgesamt hatte ich einen guten Aufenthalt im Hotel.

This was my first time staying at the Royal Palms and enjoyed my stay and it was a very relaxing stay. Very close to any shopping venue you want. The rooms are special. I will invite my friends to visit this hotel in the future.

Das ist meine zweite Erfahrung bei Breakers und jedes Mal, wenn es noch besser wird! Die Freundlichkeit und Effizienz des Personals war konsequent groß. Das Resort verfügt über einen ausgezeichneten Spa- und Haarsalon sowie ein gutes Restaurant, schöne Pools für Erwachsene und Kinder und tägliche Aktivitäten. Die Landschaft ist großartig und hat einen schönen Strand und Waldweg. Ich empfehle Breakers Resort für alle und freue mich auf meine nächste Reise!

Das Hotel ist super praktisch, gegenüber der Shopping Mall, es gibt ein sehr gutes Steak vor der Tür, und das heimische Circuscircuscafe öffnet um 7 Uhr, das Frühstück ist sehr lecker. An der Rezeption kann man auch eine 4-stündige Stadtrundfahrt buchen, was auch sehr gut ist. Hohe Kostenleistung
