The Francis Boutique Inn

I don't know what a "Boutique Inn" is, but for me The Francis was just a room -no more. We did not meet anybody - all communication was online. The room in first floor was huge and nice and with a harbour view ( partly). There is no walk in shower - it's in a bathtub and the whole bathroom is connected to the room - open area. Toilet is of course in a room, but the shower just behind a curtain. Coffee/tea maker , fridge etc. Lovely huge bed. Everything fine. No breakfast - you had to go downtown - five minutes of BYO in Coop which we did on the second day. Ucluelet is very nice and cosy - If I come back I will stay at other place where I meet people at breakfast as in a b&b, small hotel etc.

This was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Accommodation was beautiful, clean and comfortable and it was great to be able to do our own breakfasts after a week or so in a hotel. Very handy for harbour, pub, restaurants and local walks. In our multi centre holiday this was a great place to rest and recharge.

The Francis Boutique Inn in Ucluelet is a stunning place located conveniently near the center of Ucluelet. It's right across from the brewery, next to the supermarket, and within walking distance of the West Pacific Trail. The cottages are equipped with every luxury and offer ample parking. This beautiful location is perfect for a stay in this relaxed town. Whether you're exploring the local attractions or simply enjoying the serene environment, The Francis Boutique Inn provides an excellent base for a memorable visit.

The accommodation was very clean, was modern and well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable and everything was provided for. The bathroom had a rain shower and regular shower with extra towels, hair drier, etc. The kitchenette had plates, cutlery, microwave, glasses, mugs, salt and pepper, lots of coffee in compostable pods, teas, etc. and mini refrigerator. There was a hot tub just outside the door. Very safe and parking just outside. Very kind owners who went out of their way to help accommodate me when I got ill. Will be staying there again!

We stayed at the Francis for one night. I wish we could have stayed more. The room perfectly equipped, very clean and with all the comforts. 100 percent recommended. The person who attended us, charming, very attentive and worried about us when the route we had to follow the main road was cut off and we had to turn around a lot. She informed us of everything. Very grateful for everything.

This is a nice inn. However, there is nothing "boutique" about it. What was listed as a luxe suite was in fact a large room. It was pleasant and spotlessly clean, and we did have a view of the harbor as listed. It had a tiny well equipped kitchen. The bathroom was awkward - a sink with no space whatsoever for toiletries, and a tub with a shower curtain but no door (the toilet itself was in separate closet-like enclosure). The Inn is very conveniently located in the center of town, walking distance to everything. So - overall a pleasant stay, but don't expect a luxury boutique property.

Everything about this place was great, from its location in the centre of town to the high quality, well-appointed rooms and the friendly lady who couldn't do more to assist us. We stayed for 3 nights and it was a perfect place for us to use as a base to explore the local area. The room (suite 2) was big, bright, had a very comfortable bed and a great view of the water and forest / mountain behind - for those that care, the wi-fi was also good! There is also a small kitchen area with a sink and fridge (and a microwave if I recall) and a table with a couple of chairs, so certainly a lot of space that made it feel less like a hotel room and more like a small suite. The bath / shower are not separated from the main room, which might be an issue for some visitors, but it was fine for us. From a location perspective, it was great - easy to find, plenty of parking and walking distance to the local supermarket, a couple of coffee shops and most of the restaurants. The one minor point is that it was a little pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for and it was certainly a great stay worth paying a bit more for.

Beautiful hotel with a nice view. Sauna and hot tub available outside. Only we missed some clothing hooks in the bathroom, and a relax chair. The smoke detector was not working, but the fire department was nearby

We actually couldn’t stay at The Francis much to our disappointment due to the wildfire which cut off the highway to Ucluelet. The owner of The Francis suggested that we take an alternate route but it was specified by the authorities that this rough route was for essential traffic only. The reason for our poor review is that the owners refused to refund our money or any portion of it even though it was physically impossible to get through. I would be very cautious in dealing with this hotel. We were offered a different time for our stay but we had travelled from Ontario so we couldn’t take advantage of their offer.
