They won’t reply to my emails so maybe this will save another traveller. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to deal with rude staff, terrible service, unclean rooms and no accountability. I stayed here for 2 nights and on my first night I found bed bugs on the wall next to my bed and on my bed. I head down to the reception to ask what can be done and the man behind the desk says “there is nothing I can do”. I ask to move rooms and he says that it is “against policy” for me to do so. So when I ask what can be done he says “nothing”. I had to ask for clean bed sheets, which he finally agreed to, then to only give me one sheet! No pillowcase and no bedding. My friend heads back down to reception to ask for more sheets/a pillowcase and instead of helping him the guy behind the desk just hands my friend the key to the laundry room telling him to “get it himself”. When I finally had enough bedding, I had to change the sheets myself and was forced to sleep in a bed with bed bugs. When I woke up the next morning (with bites!!) I went down to reception where they told me that I can’t move rooms (again because it’s “against policy”) and that all they can offer me is for housekeeping to clean my room. I was not offered a refund or compensation so that I could stay elsewhere. I had no choice but to stay there for another night and pay for all of my things to be cleaned out of my own pocket. Since this, I have emailed the hospitality manager and was told that they cannot refund me or offer me compensation because (and these are her exact words): “we proposed you to move to another hostel on the second night and so refund you that night, but you decided to remain”. I can say for certain that I was never offered a refund, I was never offered any sort of help or advice by the staff, otherwise of course I would have gone to another hostel and taken the refund!! Absolutely disgusting that I had to pay full price for two nights in a hostel that I had no other choice but to stay in.
