Sam's Town Tunica

I checked in a little late 11 pm ish. It was semi dark in the lobby and I thought nobody was behind the desk so I started to download the mobile app to check in when low and behold surprised! Even I laughed how high I jumped when I was greatest. I was visiting and usually spend the night somewhere on my trip between Florida and Missouri. The last 3 tripsIve paid well over 120 a night for rooms I've actually had to clean (no shower shoes) or pulled comforter back and the sheets could not have been changed. I did not leave bad reviews for the OTHERS, so I want to insure an excellent review for Sam's town. Not only were they sparkling clean, made me laugh and eased my mind as far as security. I also won a couple hundred dollars in the ****** and the.rooms were way more comfortable and a lot more reasonable than any others I've stayed. Thank you Sams Town I will be back!!

Great stay

There were only about 30-50 guests at the hotel, but our room was the last room at the end of a very long section and it was a hike from the front entrance. Shower water was only just warm, hair dryer did not work and they do not refresh the room when you stay for more than one night. Had to call housekeeping to get more towels and wash cloths for our second day. ****** restaurants not open on weekends and not many restaurants in local area. Tunica casinos are slowly dying since in the past few years they now have competition all over the USA. We never noticed over 10-15 cars in the parking lot that was designed for thousands and never noticed more than a hand-ful of people playing the games in the ******. One ****** has already closed and its just a matter of time before the rest follow suit. In its day I am sure Tunica casinos was a thriving and profitable business, but new casinos are popping up all over the country now and Tunica is rapidly loosing their appeal and customers.

At check-in, staff was not friendly and made my staying at Sam’s Town seem like more of an inconvenience or hindrance than someone who was welcome. Key cards did not work, went back down to service desk at 10:56 (service desk is supposed to close at 11:00) to get new card keys; however, the service desk had closed a little early; therefore, had to contact security so they could get someone to come to the service desk to redo card keys. While I was waiting, one of the ladies that had been at the service desk asked if I had contacted security…I said yes, and she said good because I am off the clock and kept on walking. Twenty-five minutes later someone showed up to get me new key cards. Went back to the room and these cards did not work either. Called security desk again, and explained the situation and was told someone from maintenance would be at my room shortly. A little bit later, not long, maintenance came and had to reprogram card reader because the reader was the issue and not the key cards. Entering the room, it was hot and air conditioner worked just enough to keep the room tolerable; however, the mini fridge did not work. Called security desk again, and they sent maintenance with a working fridge. The room was kind of clean until you started really looking around. The best thing I can say is at least there were no bedbugs; however, the room had not been vacuumed very well because there were candy pieces under the overhangs of the bed and thick dust on the air vents.

Absolutely will never stay there again. Carpets in the room smelled need to be replaced with tile,or hardwood.The tub was stained, lamp shade also stained, the end table in bad condition. No surprise the Hollywood was full and they were empty. No night or early desk clerk.

Check in staff was rude and uninterested in helping us and when we checked out didn’t even get out of chair and come to the desk - just stayed seated across the room. Acted as if we were inconveniencing her. Need friendlier service staff.

They need to either shut it down for good or shut it down and do a complete overhaul of this property. It is filthy and rundown, and that’s just the main property. The room we stayed in was disgusting. There were several dead bugs on the bathroom floor. No water pressure in the shower. It appeared that the floor had not been swept in a while. The sheets had not been changed. There was blood on them. Pillows were hard as a rock. 0 out of 10…Would not recommend.

We had never been to Tunica before, and Sam's Town was recommended by a friend. The entire staff were amazing! Everything was clean. The restaurants were good as well. The price for the room was almost unbelievable! We did leave for some meals, and by far The Blue and White restaurant is the best we found away from the ******!! Check in and out was quick and easy. Overall, our stay was quiet and peaceful. The only real complaint would be the TV reception is mostly bad. It was hard to find something to watch that we could see well. But, that wasn't really a big deal anyway, to be honest. We will definitely be going back!!!

The air-conditioning did not work. The bed was wearing out!!!! People were super nice.
