Ashton Motel

This is the 3rd year my wife and I have stayed at this motel for the Falling Leaf Festival. Super clean Motel in a great location.

Excellent motel! The host could not have been any more accommodating, so friendly and genuine. We stayed in a family room - queen bed in the main room/living area, twin singles in the second room. Spacious bathroom with basic toiletries provided. Complimentary light breakfast was a lovely touch, and our kids thought it was a very special novelty.

Nice motel, perfect location in main street, close to restaurants, cafes,pubs and shops. Easy direct phone booking and pleasant reception from Jess when checking in. Very clean reasonably sized double room , great shower. Good value with included light breakfast. Only downside was group of workers having party in front of their units. Loud music and bad language not appropriate for a motel.

Booked 1 night accommodation using the motel's website for a twin room. It was for a saturday night & cost $165. This rate includes a light breakfast of juice fruit cereal & milk. The motel is located on the main shopping street, Wynard St & so easy access to eateries, pubs & shopping. One side is single storey & our side was 2 storeys Welcoming check in with advice freely given on eateries. We got a car parking space close to the stairs at the front. We were allocated Room 21, on the first floor. Its a pleasant room, with a queen size bed & a single. There is a bar fridge, microwave, toaster & kettle cutlery & crockery. The air con works very well & is quiet & so is the bar fridge. Wifi is free & fast. The beds were very comfortable The ensuite is a good size with a roomy shower. Its an older style motel, in a central location. It was extremely quiet & very comfortable.

I am an expat of the town and chose the Ashton due to its service history to the town, its location in the CBD and the quality of the bed ( having stayed before). The rooms are basic, spotlessly clean, and very functional, the staff are friendly and very accomadationg. The rates are very reasonable and worth every cent. We could not fault a thing about our stay and previuos stopover a week earlier. The motel gets a well deserved 10/10 from us.

We stayed here for 1 night. Centrally located. Good sized bathroom, small kitchenette with kettle and microwave. Comfortable and very good for an Australian country motel. The restaurant was not open when we were there but it was easy to get dinner in a nice old pub nearby.
