We've stayed here in past years and really enjoyed it. The pool is small, but the pool and spa are a pleasant place to relax. We like the refrigerator and microwave in the rooms, and the water-filling station in the lobby.
This time, we found out the pool and spa were closed once we got there. They were able to send us a Welcome message, but not a message about their amenities being unavailable. When I spoke to the general manager about getting a credit on our bill for lack of advertised amenities, she said that they couldn't do that because I booked with a third party. When I went back to the front desk when we were checking out later, I asked if they could credit us the resort fees, and was again told "no", Both times, they offered to book a future stay at a "decent price" for specific dates this year. Since we have no immediate plans to return this year on a specific date, they were unable to offer a solution.
Although it's been painted and well-kept on the exterior, the place is really looking worn on the inside - chipped paint, old bathtub, old bathroom counter/sink, discolored washcloths, missing stones in the stone flooring in the lobby hallway. The front desk staff are friendly, but don't seem particularly professional, especially the general manager, who didn't seem very confident or well-informed. It feels like this hotel is not going to be in business much longer, which is sad.
