Premier Inn Trowbridge

The room was fine, a little sterile and I couldn't open the window, fresh air was lacking. It was clean although in need of a refresh in the bathroom. The 'hot' breakfast was buffet style and luke warm but there were other options available. I have mobility issues which were explained to the staff. When someone set the fire alarm off it took me a good while to get down the stairs, there was no help available and the same when I returned to my room. Some staff were helpful, others not so much. I have stayed in many Premier Inns and this one unfortunately did not live up to expectations.

This weekend, we stayed at the Premier Inn in Trowbridge. What can I say? The staff were absolutely outstanding, especially Kayleigh. She went above and beyond, making sure that nothing was too much trouble for us. We needed to switch rooms due to being placed in joining room, and since we were here for business, we required privacy to avoid any overheard conversations. Despite the hotel being fully booked and extremely busy, she explored every option to accommodate our request. Kayleigh was incredibly friendly and even walked us to our new room to ensure it met our needs. Her dedication has made our stay truly exceptional. Additionally, with a pageant weekend happening, I constantly heard her expressing her love for the events and her efforts to make the participants feel comfortable. I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but Kayleigh's outstanding service compelled me to share my experience. A massive thank you for making our stay so memorable and for also taking in our Amazon orders, extremely appreciated you!

We stayed in Room 102 and Room was Clean ish, was a few hairs in the bed and Bath, and all night i could hear the corridor door hitting when closing. I went around the Hotel to see how big it was and how was the hotel around, and i went for a suprise, but not a good one. All i saw in the 1⁰ floor was dust everywhere, wow is like the Hotel was closed or no staff to clean the Public Areas. I did found a few holes in the walls, lots of walpapers ripped, door frames to be painted, lifts super dirty, marks on the walls in the corridors ( need a paint). In general the Hotel needs a bit of maintenance. I do not know if this Hotel Have a Maintenance Staff, but if have, well lets say he or she needs to do some work, because this Hotel looks very dated and destroyed. I spoke with one staff member and she said this Hotel has 11/12 years and this looks like 30 years, is very bad shape in maintenance.. very sad. Holes in Carpets, one was by my Room 102. Walpapers have holes everywhere, door frames broken by the lifts and a few by where it says "staff only". Restaurant is Dark and chairs have holes too and the boots is old and destroyed, is like the Manager dont care of dont see hoe bad this Hotel is. Food was good, Restaurant Staff was ok, always talking with the Chef and food waiting in the counter.

We stayed here for a night whilst attending an event at the university of Bath. The staff were incredibly helpful and were able to answer questions. Parking - do not follow the parking tab on the Premier inn email which asks you to book a local parking space (it says there is no parking onsite. ) Although there isn’t a premier inn car park, you do get 24hrs free parking outside the hotel if you input your registration number at the hotel. The hotel is on a small out of town complex with an odeon cinema and a variety of popular chain restaurants. We ate at Wagamamas which is as convenient and delicious. Breakfast- all you can eat buffet. All very good quality and a great start to the day. Children eat for free.

The hotel looks shabby from outside, but I was pleasantly surprised once inside. The bedrooms were clean and well equipped. The toiletries were very nice. The little Green and Blacks chocolates were a lovely touch. The bed was huge and very comfortable indeed. I thought it would be noisy at night but it was very quiet so the sound proofing must be excellent. I cannot tell you how good the service was from Jimmy. He was excellent and made the night before a family funeral, bearable. Thank you Jimmy for looking after us all so well.

We stayed at Premier Inn Trowbridge for a Friday-Monday birthday trip. We were visiting Longleat over the weekend, and this particular Premier Inn was the cheapest and best placed option for this attraction. You have lots of restaurants to choose from and also a supermarket right outside, so you have everything you may need without having to drive. That being said, you won't want to go to any of the other restaurants as the staff and food in the in-house restaurant were great! We ate here 2 out of the 3 nights, and wish we had done so on the other night too. All the staff we encountered throughout our stay were warm, friendly, chatty and helpful. They all really stood out to us. We stayed in a Premier Plus room on the top floor, which was well-equipped with water, premium tea, coffee machine, chocolate and a small fridge. The bathroom had a big bath and nice rainfall shower. It was nice having so many seating options in the room too! There were a couple of downsides to the room: one was that there appeared to be some unknown bodily fluids on the bed frame and wall by the bed, which were slightly concerning. The second was that the side of the bath was quite high compared to normal baths, so it was a bit difficult to get in and out of the shower as a shorter person. Lastly, there was quite a bit of noise coming from the roof on a couple of the nights of our stay, but when we looked on the satellite view on a map, it appears that there are some plant units right above the room we were in - so I suppose it cannot be helped. Back to the staff, they were so friendly and keen to help in any way they could. It was so nice to see a smiling, happy face at breakfast in the morning, it made the atmosphere in the public areas of the hotel much nicer. They were chatting to customers about their plans and seemed genuinely interested and gave tips about other things to do in the area. This stay was by far the best stay we have had in any Premier Inn. I think other Premier Inn hotels should strive to be like the Trowbridge hotel. We would definitely be choosing this hotel if we were staying in the area again.
