Avra Hotel

Came to Methana for a family wedding, and had a block of rooms for guests waiting for us. The host of Hotel, Bill, was quite gracious and accommodating. He was also very informative with local history and places to see and visit. Rooms were very clean and staff was awesome. Loved the breakfast buffet! All types of choices and great coffee! View from our rooms was fantastic! Very reasonably priced and I loved that it wasn't a touristy location!! Highly recommend this hotel! Carol L. Boston MA/Ocala FL

We stayed at Avra hotel in early July 2023 and it was an utter disappointment. The hotel has certainly known better days. The room we stayed in was tiny - just enough to cram 3 beds in and with enough space to walk by - and much worse than the pictures shown from the owner. Breakfast was one of the poorest I ve had in hotels - and I ve travelled to 60+ countries. The worst part was returning the second night after a wedding party to find that the door lock was stuck and wouldn’t open. The owner that arrived to help seemed bothered that we woke him up and asked why we pushed the door lock so hard that it wouldn’t unlock (!). They couldn’t fix it on the spot so they put us in a similar room, only with two beds which means I had to sleep on a rusty bunk bed which didn’t make my night. The next morning, and after insisting repeatedly they did manage to bring in a local handyman to open the door so that we could get our stuff and check out. At the end of the ordeal we received no apology, just “you know sometimes door locks are unreliable”, and only got a 20E refund after insisting. Overall, both the property and the service by the owners leaves a lot to be wished for. Avoid unless you ve run out of all other options.

Εχούμε επισκεφτεί το συγκεκρίμενο ξενοδοχείο δύο φορέσ （Σεπτέμβρης 2018 και Αυγουστος 2020）.Στα θετικά του είναι η πολύ κοντίνη απόσταση απο τη θάλασσα ,το πρωίνο ,η χαμηλή του τιμή και η μικρή απόσταση του απο το λιμάνι και τα κεντρικά σημεία της πολησ .Το δωμάτιο είναι αρκετά καλό ,εχει υπέροχη θέα στη θάλασσα,οι υπάλληλοι ειναι πολύ ευγενικοί （μας άφησαν μάλιστα να παραμείνουμε και παραπάνω ώρα απο αύτη που έλεγε το check out καθώς το πλοίο αναχώρουσε πιο μέτα）.Ένα όμως βασικό αρνητικό του ξενοδοχείου αυτου είναι το μεγάλο πρόβλημα που έχει με την αποχέτευση του.Πιο συγκεκριμένα και στις δύο επισκέψεις μας εμφανίζονταν καθημερινά αρκετές φορές στην λεκάνι μας απορρίματα απο τα άλλα δωμάτεια.Σημειωνω πωσ μολονότι είχαμε αναφέρει την δεύτερη φορά την δυσαρέσκειά μας οι άνθρωποι του ξενοδοχείου δεν έκαναν απολύτως τίποτα.Έχω δύο χρόνια να επισκεφτώ το ξενοδοχειο ευέλπιστώ να έχουν το αντιμετωπισεί αυτο το πρόβλημα καθώς είναι ιδιαίτερα σοβαρό...
