This entire establishment is a work of love. So much effort has been made to renovate and rebuild the barracks and it shows in every room. The hosts, John and Kim are rightly proud, and are happy to show and tell the history. A snack plate is served on arrival with cheese, crackers and those amazing homemade pickles. Breakfast was a treat, both cooked or continental (home made yoghurt, poached pears and stewed rhubarb all local and home preserved. I cannot speak highly enough (and we travel the world for work so have stayed in a hotel or two) of both the premises, the fit out (amazing bathtub), the people and breakfast. The local pub is next door serving great meals, there is a fish and chip hut on the bay next to the pub that cooks delightful and generous servings. Oh, and its basically on the harbour if you are boating, doing Maria Isle etc. Thank John and Kim! Could not be happier. 10/10
