Although this is a new and updated listing, we have been hosting guests for 25+ years in our beautiful and memorable log home located on the banks of the Susitna River. Our historic home has a large yard and picnic area with gorgeous views of Mt. Denali and the Alaska Range. There is an additional sleeping area in the upstairs hallway located outside the bedrooms with a small double fold down futon couch. Located on the property is a part time long-term renter in a bottom floor apartment, and the owner keeps a small apartment over the garage for use when he is in town. The only shared space may be the yard or the driveway.While staying here, enjoy a large comfortable open kitchen and sitting area on first level. There is one full bathroom on this level that includes a washer and dryer. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, each hosting a queen bed and river views. The master bedroom, the ‘Talkeetna’, has a private full bathroom. The other two bedrooms are called the ‘Susitna’ and the ‘Chulitna’. There is a single fold down futon in the upstairs hallway area that can be used as a bed.Please enjoy your free Wi-Fi and free cruiser bicycles available for guests. We are only a half a mile from downtown Talkeetna, and adjacent to a 14 mile paved bike path that goes along the Talkeetna Spur Road and downtown.
