Hotel des Arts

First be warned - if you have mobility issues this place may not be for you. There are no lifts and access to the room floors is up some spiral stairs. We are an older couple. Yoann toted our very heavy bags up and down the stairs as required to check in and out. The parking situation can also be strange, but not unusual for French Hotels, as we found out (we didn't reserve in advance and parked in a public lot (Esquirol) a couple of short blocks away). The Hotel is decorated with lots of interesting and fun art work. The bed and room were very comfortable and clean. The staff brings you a very generous continental breakfast every morning (they make their own yogurt!). To a person the young staff was very helpful and cheerful. They all clearly seemed to love their city and love working at the hotel. They are of course willing to help with things like restaurant recommendations and reservations. The Hotel is located a short walk from Place St. Georges, where there are many dining options. All in all, we had a really good time in Toulouse and a great stay at the Hotel Des Arts.

Charming staff and decor. Breakfast was so good. I can't thank them so much for finding some amazing gluten free bread. They went out of their way to help us when we had to find our way to the hotel and the parking lot after an exhaustive drive (freeway was closed and it took us 6 hours to get from Pont du Gard to Toulouse - double the time than normal). The service was beyond belief. Thank you so much.

A lovely little hotel for a three-night visit to Toulouse. It is a great location, amidst small shops and windy streets. Breakfast was continental, not cooked, but filling and tasty, with a superior fresh fruit salad and local pastry, including one of the best sourdough baguettes we've had. Our room was clean and the bath was lovely, though with only a hand-held shower, which Americans might not be used to. Would stay here again.

I don't know why/how this hotel got such a high rating. Friendly staff but new carpets would be better. Stains on the lower mattress and the floors were gross enough I worried about walking on them, including the bathroom where grout is missing. Floors are not even and rather wobbly, the stairs are frighteningly narrow and the carpets again...

Fantastically positioned small boutique styled/sized hotel in a great area of Toulouse. Room was of a good size, quiet with a very comfortable bed. The standout recommendation however, would be the super helpful staff that are friendly and available to make your stay a welcome and memorable one. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

I have just spent two weeks in Toulouse for a French course/exam. I stayed for the whole time at this hotel. I very rarely write a review but on this occasion I was so happy with the hotel that I felt I had to say something. The hotel is outstanding. My room was very comfortable and private and the hotel is extremely well located in the heart of the old town. However, what really made my time here was the kindness of all the staff, and particularly Vera and Yoann. When I came trudging in after a long day of French lessons, they always asked how my lessons had gone and gave me lots of encouragement. It was like being with family. I thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Toulouse but especially, from my perspective, if you are a solo traveller, here for work or to learn French or just see Toulouse. Breakfast in bed everyday is also an absolute winner.

Lovely small hotel in old building with character close enough (10mins walk) to main square and other attractions. Staff very friendly. Has been nicely refurbished and modernised. Room size ok but nice bathroom. Breakfast to room if you want it. In a quite street but lively square close by.

Great location, very comfortable, friendly staff. Amazing room service breakfast. Car park was full but nearby public multi storey a couple of minutes away. Would stay again
