Wir haben hier eine Nacht während unserer Fahrt geblieben. Die Lage ist sehr im Stadtzentrum, aber das Stadtzentrum selbst ist nicht sehr schön. Der Parkplatz liegt nur unter dem Hotel und es gibt direkten Zugang zum Hotel von Parkplatz, aber irgendwie haben sie keine Partnerschaft, so dass Sie den regulären Preis zahlen. Das Personal ist freundlich und spricht gut Englisch. Wifi hat nicht für uns gearbeitet, so kann er nicht dazu kommentieren. Sehr wenige Möglichkeiten zum Frühstück, aber ich bin nicht sicher, ob das auf Covid zurückzuführen ist oder nicht. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber, die Bettqualität so. Insgesamt nicht schlechte Aufenthalte für eine Nacht, aber würde definitiv nicht mehr als 2-3 Tage bevorzugen.

Ein wunderschönes und empfangbares Personal. Danke für sie! Das kleine Tee ist auch auf der Ebene und vor allem nicht sehr teuer. Aber ein Liter nicht sehr bequem, sondern mit dem Preis-Qualität-Verhältnis!

We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel at the end of September and the service was excellent throughout out the hotel. Reception staff helped us all with a problem we had at a city car park. Breakfast had a very good Buffet selection with a member of staff on hand to get anything extra we needed. The pool was quite small but adequate, with a few sunloungers around it, I think the hotel is mainly suited to business people or short city break. I cannot comment on evening meals as we always ate out as the hotel is s 25 minute walk away from the harbour and a lot of the restaurants are even nearer. This hotel is a very central place to stay,

Hotel staff are all professionals. Lobby and breakfast area are sublime. Truly pleasant. Nothing feels ”worn out”. Room size, sheets, towels, mattress, pillows, beds, furniture all excellent. WiFi strong and functional. Price is good value. Location is nice. Parking available by hotel, but you need to ask in advance. No ”restaurant”, but breakfast served, and nice ”crudite platter” of cheese/meats available. Sound insulation good. A/C not strong, but functioning. In general, very happy with the stay. Many rooms have view of marina, but must be requested.

Unbelievably disappointed with this hotel and a majority of its staff. We experienced a tragic void of cleanliness, professionalism and hospitality during our entire stay at the Mercure Hotel in Toulon, France. Unfortunately, our fruitless attempts to resolve these issues directly with on-site management (which does not exist) and corporate personnel (impossible to contact) leave us feeling violated of our dignity and robbed of our time and money. We hope the following information will help others in the future, including travelers, hospitality staff, Sébastien Bazin, Gilles Pélisson, and the like. CLEANLINESS: Upon our arrival, we could literally see dust and dirt on all of the shelves, counter tops, balconies and floors of the hotel and room. Even the carpet in the room was so dirty it stained the bottom of our clean socks. The toilet room smelled bad, like, well, a used toilet. We politely asked for it to be cleaned, however, no one ever came, not even to freshen up the room at any point during our stay. COMFORT: The air conditioning did not work in our room, ever. When we spoke to the front desk staff about the sweltering temperature of 90 degrees F in our room (even though the thermostat read 16 C) and were informed to “leave the room for awhile to let it work”. We left at 3:30PM and returned at 11PM to a less sweltering temperature of 85 degrees F in our room. We asked staff member available, Alexi/Alex at the front desk, if he could fix the thermostat. He begrudgingly came to take a look and was profusely sweating after one minute in the room. He could not turn on the air conditioning even though the thermostat read the same 16C. He said we could open the window, but that would just let in the bugs in and turn off the air completely. He also suggested we leave the room to wait 15 minutes for it to turn on…? Given that that strategy did not work when suggested earlier, we asked for a different room with working air conditioning. He laughed at us and said no because it would not make his manager happy. We said we would happily speak to the manager about the issue and he laughed again, said no, and stated management is not available on the weekends. We then asked for some sort of a solution and Alexi/Alex appeared annoyed and said “there is nothing to be done” and that he had to get back to his “other duties” at the hotel. Turns out it was actually the end of his shift and he did not want to stay any longer that his end time to deal with this problem. We noted that the sheets and bedding were surprisingly all polyester, which doesn’t breathe like cotton, and acts like a heat conductor and made it more difficult to achieve sleep. He laughed again and said all the rooms are the same and there is nothing to be done. We went back to the front desk to ask for help from the next staff member and found that the only person available was a very kind, intelligent security guard named Cherkre(sp?). Immer wieder gerne! Ich war bereits im März für ein paar Tage alleine da und wollte nicht versäumen, diese Hotel auch meiner Frau zu zeigen. Es ist wunderschön am Meer gelegen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick, der sehr zu genießen ist. Es gibt mehrere hoteleigene Restaurants, die ebenso sehr zu empfehlen sind, Aber auch vor dem Hotel gibt es einige Bars und Restaurants direkt am Meer gelegen. Das Hotel verfügt über einen sehr schönen Pool mit Zugang zum Meer sowie einen SPA-Bereicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leider ist es so, dass ein neu renoviertes Haus, das auch noch sehr gut ausgestattet ist, das sehr ansprechend wirkt und das auch ist, auf absolut unfähiges Personal trifft. Vielleicht hatten diese eine lange Saison…. Aber gerade die ältere Dame an der Rezeption, die kein englisch spricht oder dieses nur gebrochen versuchte, zwar nett im ersten Moment war, allerdings hat sich keiner Ihrer Aussagen als verlässlich erwiesen! Am Anreisetag konnten wir um 17.40 Uhr keinen Tisch für das Abendessen am selben Tag reservieren (wir hatten eine Fahrt von 9 Std. hinter uns). Später haben wir erneut nachgefragt für den nächsten Abend. Wir erhielten dann eine Zusage für den nächsten Abend um 19.45 Uhr. Leider bekamen wir im Restaurant am nächsten Abend den reservierten Tisch nicht, da die Dame von der Rezeption, die im übrigen auch am zweiten Abend da war, sich aber genauso wie alle anderen vom Personal wegduckte, sich an nichts erinnerte…. Sie liess uns leider komplett vor der gesammelten Mannschaft samt den Gästen auflaufen (hier wird wohl pro Mitarbeiter und nicht pro Gast gearbeitet). Außerdem war sie der Felsenfesten Meinung, dass wir nicht einmal Frühstück gebucht hatten. Unser Vorteil war, dass wir bei Anreise bereits bezahlt hatten und konnten dieses somit auch nachweisen. Die Situation war nicht nur schlimm sondern auch Skurril. Besonders Schlimm war, dass unsere Kinder die Aussage tätigten (Tochter 7Jahre) ”sie ist froh hier wieder weg zu kommen“. Wir hatten keine Lust mehr dort Abend zu essen. Und haben uns wieder etwas anderes gesucht. Das Frühstück am Abreisetag war genauso wie am morgen zuvor spartanisch und es ging stück für Stück alles leer. Egal ob S*****en, Käse, Eier, Marmelade…. Es lag auf jeden Fall nicht daran, dass zu wenig Personal da war. Auch hier wurde weggeschaut, es war nur wichtig die Tische der Gäste, die gegangen sind so schnell wie möglich zu putzen und somit sauber zu machen.

Überfordertes und zum teil schnippisches Empfangspersonal Die Zimmer sehr sauber, geräumig und mit schöner Aussicht Das Restaurant sei es am Abend oder am Morgen eine Zumutung, die Speisen sind lieblos auf den Teller geklatscht das Frühstücksbuffet um 09.30Uhr leer und wird auch nicht mehr aufgefüllt Poollandschaft schön aber für die Grösse des Hotels viel zu klein
