Hotel Maderno

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in over 40 years. It is a shabby, tatty, dirty, dated run down dump. I stayed in room 301 , the single room located directly above the hotel entrance, top floor. The bathroom was ok slightly dated but clean as it was fully tiled, the only issue was the shower door came off the runners , ever morning leaving it hanging on only by the top links on the door, not good and potentially creating a high risk of fall off altogether, glass everywhere in a bathroom. The single bedroom certainly requires a lick of paint, I think that the ceiling has been partially painted on the wall edges as it is an off white colour, the remainder of the ceiling covered in polystyrene tiles are still engrained in nicotine stains. I attempted to open the floor to ceiling window blinds, one of the 5 blinds simply fell off. I tried to open the Victorian nets at the windows to all light in, the net poles fell an both items remained off for the remainder of the week. The gloss paint work on the window frames and doors has not been touched in the last two decades, yellow and badly nicotine stained, The windows are the original frames , hence they do not close correctly, the hotel is on a main road, get used the the noise. Internet connection, sometimes ok, but mainly very poor, intermittent throughout the week. The food, I was Half Board, I only ate 2 evening meals in the whole week, actually I did not eat them as the food was disgusting, the presentation of the courses was a poor man’s Master Chef , the standard of the actual food was the worst I have ever had even a basic Blackpol B&B during the illuminations is 100% better than this hotel, you do not get a drink with your meal, 4 Euros for tap water, 16 Euros for a bottle of wine that is 4 euros from the supermarket over the road. breakfasts where ok, but do not expect a full English and the scrambled egg is the egg powder left over from the end of the 2nd world war, about the time this hotel was in-depth cleaned. You may ask well ask why I did not complain, none of the staff, well I only seen 4 ladies working there spoke English, or pretended they didn’t, tried to get my point across, waste o& time. The staff were not even supplied with a sensible hygienic work wear, the same lady served me every morning and the couple of evening meals I had in her purple fleece over the 7 days, I ended up spending 50 / 60 euros poverty the following 5 evenings eating out, a spend I did not foresee. Not even a thank you from the girl on receptionist when paying my bill and 28 euro tax on leaving for my return journey this morning. This accommodation is bleak, take it from me and give it a miss ,

hôtel très reposant et personnel très sympathique petit déjeuner très bien et très beau parc et agréable pour l apéritif ont a passe de très bon moment 3 années que nous allons la ville de maderno est agreable et promenade le long du lac magnifique

Wij waren in dit hotel vanwege een bruiloft 16 sept. Super warm onthaal. Parkeer gelegenheid voldoende op eigen terrein. Kamer was super. Goede bedden. Dus zonder rugklachten opstaan. Mooie grote badkamer en schoonmaak door het hele hotel is geweldig. Personeel is ontzettend aardig. En een uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Prachtige tuin. En voldoende stoelen en ligbedden bij het zwembad. Omgeving is prachtig. En winkeltjes aan de overkant. Kort om...... een GEWELDIG hotel. Gr John en Esmeralda kamer 204

Buon soggiorno di coppia camera ristrutturata ,letto comodo,bagno ristrutturato, ma con gradino all'ingresso che potrebbe dare fastidio a qualche persona con difficoltà motorie.buona la colazione e ben fornita.Buona la cena con menù vario e ben ricercato.Bene la piscina bello il giardino

Bij binnenkomst waan je je eigen in de vroegere jaren van de vorige eeuw met trapbekleding welke met roedes waren bevestigd maar waar regelmatig het personeel maar zelf ook de gasten deze vastzetten om te vermijden dat men uitgleed op de treden. Kamers ogen in eerste instantie goed met een krakend en piepend parket, goede bedden en een schone badkamer echter zij zijn wel gehorig. Wij hadden daarbij de pech dat wij luidruchtige buren hadden waarbij bij wijze van spreken een telefoongesprek en onderlinge gesprekken van van hun, woord voor woord te horen was. I.s.m. de receptie hebben wij de volgende dag een andere kamer, wel met extra bijbetaling, gekregen. ondanks dat deze kamer iets luxer was, bleek de gehorigheid in mindere mate storend, aanwezig. Buitengeluiden van de doorgaande weg waren niet of nauwelijks hoorbaar door de isolerende beglazing. Contacten met de reisorganisatie van de ANWB gaf geen oplossing van ons probleem t.a.v. de verplichte bijbetaling. Ontbijt en Diner in kader van half pension waren wel goed verzorgd. Het was wel jammer om te constateren dat de minibar niet wekelijks nagekeken werd daar wij nog resten van het ontbijt van de vorige bewoners aantroffen.

Avendo a disposizione solo un paio di giorni da trascorrere a toscolano abbiamo deciso di puntare su un 4 stelle x avere il migliore dei servizi… così purtroppo non è stato. Il “quattro stelle” è da riservare solo alla colazione che è a buffet dove c’è l’imbarazzo della scelta x il resto nulla di che…buona cucina ma con portate nella norma, buffet di verdura inesistente sia a pranzo che a cena (cosa che abbiamo SEMPRE trovato in tutti i 3 stelle) dolce solo con gelato o frutta, non mi aspetto un buffet di dolci ma da 4 stelle qualche scelta in più si! Pulizia nelle camere da migliorare e hotel un po’ da rinnovare a mio avviso, stile un po’ troppo “vecchio”.

Buona posizione, comodo per raggiungere il lago, i traghetti e il centro del paese. Parcheggio interno e bel giardino, buon buffet di colazione e buona la qualità del cibo, anche se con porzioni decisamente ridotte. Ho prenotato una camera singola per mia madre, appena rimasta vedova, per garantirle qualche giorno di tranquillità in occasione -ahimè- dell’anniversario di matrimonio. La camera era veramente piccola, angusta, spartana. Un bagno decisamente non adatto ad una persona con difficoltà motorie, sicuramente scarno per un 4 stelle. In più si trovava tra lo sgabuzzino e la cucina, i cui fumi salivano continuamente in stanza. Al momento di andare via è stato possibile vedere la stanza accanto, decisamente molto più bella. Non so se l’assegnazione di una camera così scarsa sia stata dovuta al portale di prenotazione o se tutte sono così… ma la ciliegina sulla torta è un’altra. Avevo concordato con Francesca la consegna per domenica a colazione di un bouquet di fiori, pagato in anticipo 25€. Domenica sera -insospettita dalla mancanza di reazioni di mia mamma- ho chiamato l’hotel, dove NESSUNO sapeva NIENTE dei fiori. Dopo un po’ mi richiamano per dirmi che non sanno cosa è successo e che l’indomani chiameranno subito il fioraio. lunedì mattina, mentre sono al lavoro, mi chiama l’hotel per dirmi che hanno consegnato i fiori e che, sia loro che il fioraio SI SONO DIMENTICATI. Mia madre ha visto un ragazzo in bicicletta correre a perdifiato con un mazzo di rose, ovviamente arrivate in uno stato non perfetto. Questa stanza non è da quattro stelle. Questo servizio non è da quattro stelle: se si concorda un servizio, ma poi c’è il riposo, si lasciano le consegne ai colleghi. Hanno peggiorato un giorno già abbastanza triste di per sé. Hotel vecchio, personale disattento, frequentatori stranieri e pure un po’ burini (infradito e t-shirt a cena). Non ci torneremmo e se avremo possibilità di sconsigliarlo, lo faremo.
