Tyndale B&B Torquay

We were blown away by our experience at Tyndale B&B. Our room was immaculate, with white company toiletries and lovely big shower. David & Tonny are exceptional hosts, adding lots of little touches to make your stay special. We had a lovely warm welcome on arrival, with prosecco and cold towels, and even taking our luggage to our room for us. They were great to chat to during our stay offering advice on things to do and places to eat, and always made the effort to ask how our day had been the next morning. We were celebrating a birthday and they went above and beyond, providing a bottle of prosecco, decorations and a birthday card in our room. There was a wide assortment of biscuits and snacks in the room, as well being available throughout the day from the sitting room. We even had fresh cakes each day. The pillow menu was a nice touch, along with the extremely comfortable bed. Weather was quite hot whilst we were there so very much appreciated the air con in the room! The help your self continental selection and the hot food menu were both exceptional for the size of the B&B, and everything we had was delicious. Always offered buck's fizz with breakfast, lovely treat! The location of the B&B is excellent, being within walking distance of Torquay town and harbour. There are many more things that we could've done and so are already planning our return. On our last day, we were given a goody bag of crisps, fruit and cake for our long journey home. These personal touches really go a long way.

Our go to b&b and it didn't disappoint. David and Tonny are brilliant hosts, their attention to detail is amazing. Still our favourite b&b, not just in Torquay but anywhere. The breakfast was lovely and so was the home made cakes. I would recommend it to anyone.

Sometimes wonderful hosts can camouflage the overall facilities and upgrade ratings and surroundings. In this case, David and Tonny are exceptional hosts, and only cement their ratings. As a couple, we have stayed at many 5-star resorts throughout the globe, and I have to say that David and Tonny would stand their own at every one of these. What a fabulous pair, their attention to every minute detail was well executed and carefully planned. The breakfast was first class, and for a boutique B&B the choice and quality were exceptional. David is a great cook, Tonny is a marvellous host. The dining area was available 24/7 to allow for those extra little drinks and snacks. The choice and quality are close to £25/30 per head, making the pricing of the stay and room great value. The boutique B&B and the room we stayed in was exceptional. It had everything we required and possibly more. To be fair to the area and overall accommodation, there’s only so much David and Tonny can achieve, without a full rebuild and what the accommodation does offer is first class. Tyndale made our stay in Torquay a memorable one, and I would be delighted to return, or venture to any of David and Tonny’s locations/parties or dining experiences. Finally, we must give the facilities 9/10, which seems somewhat harsh, but I can’t think of many 10/10 locations across the globe. However, for going out of their way and that feeling you’ve been treated to the best service, I will happily give David and Tonny 10/10 “It doesn’t get much better than this”. Paul/Natalie

This is the third time we have stayed at Tyndale, but the first with the latest owners, David and Tonny. They have kept the rooms as lovely as ever, but have updated the living space and added their own personal touches. Breakfast was fantastic every morning, with special dishes added to suit our dietary preferences and the option of getting the day off to a celebratory start with a drop of fizz! Another lovely stay for us and we will definitely return.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B. Our hosts, Dave and Tonny went over and beyond in attending to our every need and providing us with useful information about sites and restaurants. The room and bathroom were immaculate and the bed and pillows, very comfortable. Our hosts have also been improving the B&B experience with eco-friendly features, such as the shower and lighting system. The breakfast included both hot and cold items with snacks provided all day long. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this B&B.

Wow!! Super clean, stylishly appointed, wonderful breakfast, thoughtful touches. If you are considering a stay at this Boutique B&B don’t delay, it’s fabulous. Hosted by David and Tonny who instinctively understand and demonstrate customer service excellence in all respects.. A first class experience and an example of how hospitality should be done.
