I have stayed here numerous times but not in a while. It was only the manager that saved this from being a ‘nail in the coffin’ review. Hats off to her, she’s terrific. The late eve front desk guy was abrupt, unhelpful and quite arrogant when asked for documentation to support the c/card receipt of preauthorisation deposit of $150 that seems ridiculously large given the room was under $110.
The room itself was damp, stank and I had to have the dehumidifier setting on the aircon on all night. The bath was very slow to drain, bathroom sink was cracked and scratched, everything looked tired and smelled terrible and the icing on the cake was the drilling first thing in the morning that sounded like it was coming from the next room door… nice!
The manager has offered to look after me next time and I will certainly give it a shot, but a less persistent person would have given up and left after dealing with the late night reception staff’s attitude.
The room itself was clean and tidy but the smell was awful. Hopefully next time, if I choose to return, will be an improvement.
