Worn hotel isolated in very little city close to Yala park. Positive Friendly helpful staff. Close to Yala park, short commute distance when going on safari in the early morning. Negative Room dark and worn, very old fashioned. Selection of food and breakfast food pack for Early morning safari trip. We were asked what we would like to eat for dinner upon arrival at 14:00, even though the dinner was at 19:00. Breakfast package not good. Food quality in general nothing special. Pool was not clean, water was not transparent and filled with smaller particles, that resembled sun cream and other remains. Our children did not want to use it. Located in small village, not much to do, end of long gravel road with no lights, so we did not feel comfortable to go out for dinner. Positive side is the very friendly staff, but it is not a place we would recommend or consider visiting again. .

Firstly I'd like to say that the room, hotel, grounds and surrounding area are lovely. The room is huge, nicely decorated and blooming lovely. The rest of the hotel has a very warm, welcoming and cosy feel to it. I wasn't able to try the hotels breakfast as I left early the next day for the safari that the hotel had organised for me. There's parking, aircon in the rooms. But it's safe to say that the pictures don't do the place justice. hmmm... the negative. There's a few little things that stopped the place being fantastic. When I turned up I was greeted by two of the hotels assistants. Suffice to say that their greeting was a bit frosty. The complete polar opposite as to what I'd experienced at the other hotels I'd stayed in around Sri Lanka. They looked at me as if I was going to rob the place. So, before going to my room I order from the menu what I'd like for dinner and then say three times and pointed to the menu, that I'd like a coffee. It never came. No biggy, but it's the little things. Next, prior to my stay, I got in contact with the hotel about a Safari. Twice the hotel confirmed the price. Low and behold, when I get to the hotel I'm told that the price i was told was in correct. Of course the price was more expensive. It's silly it's never cheaper is it haha. So again this leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, because it's not like the hotel doesn't sort these tours on a regular basis. Lastly, it would have been nice to swim in the pool if it wasn't turning green.

Unser Zimmer und das Hotel waren großartig! Yasith und sein Team waren sehr hilfreich und auf alle unsere Bedürfnisse abgestimmt. Wir genossen wirklich den Sonnenuntergang vom Dach, hatten ein sehr geräumiges und komfortables Zimmer und ein schönes postsafari Dip im Pool. Wir haben auch Spaziergang am See und schauen Tausende von Fledermäusen überqueren am Sonnenuntergang genossen. Sie können leicht in die Stadt gehen, um zu Abendessen zu essen. Wir waren 2 Nächte in der Leisure Villa mit Uchith und seiner Familie, die so freundlich und willkommen waren. Wir wurden vom Bahnhof geholt und bei der Ankunft begrüßt mit Blumen, frische Getränke und hausgemachten Coconut-Kakao. Die ganze Familie ging oben und darüber hinaus, um sicherzustellen, dass wir glücklich waren. Der Ort war sehr sauber und wir wurden sehr komfortabel gefühlt. Uchith organisierte unsere Yala Safari-Reise, die unglaublich war. Anschließend zeigten wir uns um Tissa, erforschen die Geschichte des Dorfes, Tempel, Seen und Wildnis. Wir haben auch einige sehr leckere heimgefertigte Sri Lankan Lebensmittel während dieses Aufenthalts versucht - es war lecker! Würde jeder suchen einen Ort, um in Tissamaharama zu bleiben oder möchten, um den Yala National Park zu besuchen.
