Hotels mit Frühstück in Tissamaharama

Tatsächlich fand das Gummiband vor den Gästen im Badezimmer herunter. Das ganze ist ok, die Essenszeit ist relativ fest, abends ab 7.30 Uhr hatte ich großen Hunger. Bitten Sie den Manager, die Safari an der Rezeption zu bestellen, und das Frühstück ist morgens verpackt, was relativ reichhaltig ist. Im Grunde genug Zeit, um wieder zum Baden zu kommen und auszuchecken.

Wir sind am späten Abend für die Safari angereist. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. Wir konnten unsere Kleidung waschen. Die Safari haben wir ebenfalls über das Hotel gebucht. Das Frühstück wurde eingepackt. Die Sicht auf den See ist unglaublich! Wir empfehlen das Hotel gerne weiter.

Fantastic Yala Safari and great little hotel! We had a great time staying here - and went on a great Jeep safari with Pasanna organised through the hotel. The whole family (2 teenage boys) were totally enthralled by the safari and would totally recommend Pasanna! We went on the full day safari (starting at 430am … totally worth the early start to be the first in the park!!) - which allowed a full day of immersion and a slightly more relaxed pace. (The half day safaris seemed much less relaxed…). Pasanna the driver/ guide has over 13 years experience in the park, had great 4wd drive skills, clearly knew all of the possible routes in the park - and was passionate about showing us all that was possible in the park! He was excellent at spotting hard to see animals! Note that all jeeps have to have 12-2 as rest time in the park …. We easily passed it having lunch and reading books- when the jeeps are not allowed to drive around) . We managed to see a great selection of animals including 2 leopards (which I hear is very rare), multiple families of elephants with their babies which we were able to watch for an extended period of time, water buffalo, deer, samba deer, mongoose, jackals, monkeys, peacocks, lots of amazing birds, crocodiles, monitors and bats. It truly felt like the jungle book. We got home tired, but truly satisfied with the experience! Definitely felt like it was value for money.

Die Anlage ist wirklich wunderschön, eines des schönstes Hotels während unserer Rundreise durch Sri Lanka. Allerdings sind wir im Zimmer sehr unangenehm überrascht durch ein paar 3-4 Zentimeter großen Kakerlaken, die aus unserer Waschtasche (!!!) im Badezimmer gekrochen sind. Ein Alternativzimmer wurde uns angeboten, der Hotelchef hat uns zugesichert, dort gebe es keine... Ja, leider, doch. Und bei der Rezeption sind auch ein paar von solchen großen Viecher herumgekrochen. Gottseidank hat unsere Reiseorganisation schnell ein anderes Hotel finden können. Das war aber leider ohne Abendessen, wodurch wir im Tamarind Tree noch essen müssten. Die Auswahl am Buffet war nicht so groß - was grundsätzlich nicht schlecht ist - aber die Qualität des Essens war maximal nur durchschnittlich. Da kann dieses Hotel leider nicht mit anderen Mittelklasse Hotels mithalten. Dieses Hotel kann ich aufgrund meiner Erfahrung nicht empfehlen.

Positiv: Großzügiges Zimmer, hübsch eingerichtet Sehr nette zuvorkommender Service, jeder Wunsch wird erfüllt Unglaublicher Ausblick sowohl von allen Zimmern als auch vom Pool Alles sauber und funktional Abwechslungsreiche Küche, teils regional teils europäisch Kostenloses W-Lan ”Negativ” Bad war klein und ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen (Dusche verkalkt, heißes Wasser schwer einzustellen, Duschwand schließt nicht richtig)

Das Frühstück war großartig, konnte vorverpackte Frühstück für meine Safari & Check-out bringen. Allerdings könnte es effizienter mit Hauspflege sein (ich kam von meinem Safari zurück in ein Zimmer, das noch nicht gereinigt war, was enttäuschend war). Aber die Leute sind nett. Seien Sie einfach effizienter.

Das Hotel wird von einem jungen und sehr sympathischen Sri Lanka/Französischem Paar geführt. Alles ist wunderschön und mit Geschmack eingerichtet und dekoriert. Die Zimmer sind gross und absolut sauber, mit AC, Fan und Moskito-netz, ich empfehle ein Zimmer im 1. oder 2. Stock damit man die Vorhänge immer auflassen kann wenn man nackt durchs Zimmer läuft. Jedes Zimmer hat einen netten Balkon. Wir waren einfach nur glücklich in dieser ruhigen Oase und lagen immer mal wieder am schönen und riesigen Swimming Pool. Gegessen haben wir immer im Hotel, weil es frisch gekocht und sehr lecker war. Oliver hat uns die Safari für den Yala Nationalpark gebucht, welche ebenfalls ein tolles Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis hatte. Wir wurden direkt abgeholt und bekamen ein Lunch-Packet mit. Wir sind 2 Nächte geblieben und hätten verlängert, wenn unsere anderen Hotels nicht schon vorgebucht gewesen wären. Es ist einer der schönsten Plätze unserer 5-wöchigen Reise in Sri Lanka, an den wir wirklich gerne zurückdenken und den wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen können.

Firstly I'd like to say that the room, hotel, grounds and surrounding area are lovely. The room is huge, nicely decorated and blooming lovely. The rest of the hotel has a very warm, welcoming and cosy feel to it. I wasn't able to try the hotels breakfast as I left early the next day for the safari that the hotel had organised for me. There's parking, aircon in the rooms. But it's safe to say that the pictures don't do the place justice. hmmm... the negative. There's a few little things that stopped the place being fantastic. When I turned up I was greeted by two of the hotels assistants. Suffice to say that their greeting was a bit frosty. The complete polar opposite as to what I'd experienced at the other hotels I'd stayed in around Sri Lanka. They looked at me as if I was going to rob the place. So, before going to my room I order from the menu what I'd like for dinner and then say three times and pointed to the menu, that I'd like a coffee. It never came. No biggy, but it's the little things. Next, prior to my stay, I got in contact with the hotel about a Safari. Twice the hotel confirmed the price. Low and behold, when I get to the hotel I'm told that the price i was told was in correct. Of course the price was more expensive. It's silly it's never cheaper is it haha. So again this leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, because it's not like the hotel doesn't sort these tours on a regular basis. Lastly, it would have been nice to swim in the pool if it wasn't turning green.
