BEWARE: Misleading Photos, Filthy Conditions, and No Refunds – Stay Away from Triss Hotel I wish I didn’t have to write this review, but I feel obligated to warn others before they make the mistake of booking this hotel. My experience at Triss Hotel was beyond disappointing—it was outright unacceptable. From the moment we stepped into our room, we knew we couldn’t stay. The carpet was filthy and discolored, the bathroom had rust stains, and the towels were thin, yellowed, and clearly old. The entire room smelled overwhelmingly of mold and mustiness, making it unbearable to breathe comfortably. We didn’t even feel safe removing our shoes or coats. Within 10 minutes, we decided to leave and find another hotel. When we politely informed the reception staff of the horrendous conditions, they assured us that the manager was asleep but would call us to arrange a refund. Understanding that it was late (we had checked in close to midnight), we even offered to pay for the first night and only requested a refund for the remaining four nights. That call never came. The next day, after receiving no update, we called the hotel. While the reception staff initially seemed sympathetic, they soon backtracked under pressure from the manager and owner, refusing any refund. They falsely claimed that all their rooms were like this and that a contract with ******* prohibited refunds. This was a blatant lie—Expedia’s higher customer service team confirmed to us directly that no such contract existed. Attempting to resolve the issue, we asked if they would accept our bank dispute and allow us to pay for just the first night. They refused. Even my bank tried to mediate, but the hotel declined the dispute—twice. To make matters worse, the hotel’s online photos were completely misleading, nowhere close to reality. When I pointed out the stained and dirty carpet, the receptionist simply responded, “The color of the carpet is like that.” That response alone speaks volumes This hotel is a scam. The owner clearly doesn’t care about customer experience—only about taking your money. If you value your health, comfort, and vacation, STAY FAR AWAY from Triss Hotel. I will be posting pictures to warn others. No one deserves to go through this.
