Pousada Papyrus

Pousada Papyrus is a lovely, welcoming place to stay. The owner is most gracious, friendly, and knowledgable. The accomodations are clean and very comfortable and I liked that it is a 10 minute walk from the town centre. Very quiet at night. The breakfast buffet is delicious and plentiful. There are wonderful outdoor areas in which to sit and relax. I highly recommend staying there when in Tiradentes. Thank you, Eli!

We checked out a lot of accommodations in Tiradentes and chose for Pousada Papyrus, and it was such a good decision!! When we arrived the maid showed us all of the rooms to choose from and we chose the one in house 2. Privacy and direct access to the garden which has beds to chill on. We noticed some couples had a romantic night there at the fire pit. The breakfast in the morning was the best we had so far. A lot of choice of fresh fruit, even avocado, fresh juices and eggs. But what really made our stay was the lovely host Eli. She was so welcoming and funny. She helped us book bikes to cycle around the area, but also gave some advice on where to travel next and translate portugese for us. Her english was really good! We liked it so much we even booked an extra night so we could also relax a bit at the pool. Why we liked it better than others because it has an amazing view on the mountains, a pool, a garden, and is a bit more quiet because its a little bit outside the center. But perfect for a short 10 min walk. And the host made us really feel at home. Would definitely recommend to stay here!
