A warm welcoming embrace of an old fashioned country inn. Homely and relaxed at atmosphere. Excellent range of quality, well kept ales ,beers and wines. Expected a standard pub grub menu. Was totally wrong , the food and service went way beyond that. As close to Michelin as is possible without actual award. An initiative menu. Local producted, organically raised beef , bacon and lamb. Our beef just melted in the mouth. Real rich gravy. Fresh from the field vegetables. Each coures had the Wow factor on presentation and flavors. Csnnot praise it high enough. Room was very clean, tasteful decor, with lots of little period details. Shower and toilet clean. Well stocked with fluffy towels and toiletries. High rised, comfortable, cosy bed. Real coffee machine and hot drinks provided. Great nights sleep. Full English breakfast, perfection. Set us both up for the dsy Many thanks to Triss snd her team.

Worth making a detour for this one. The location; room; pub and food all FABULOUS We are visiting friends and family from Vancouver Island so this was a stopping off point for us not a destination but I wish we’d been staying here for more nights and we will for sure book again when in the area The location was idyllic; the bedroom stocked with everything you could possibly need and decorated beautifully The bed was amazing and the Food; THE FOOD was stellar both at dinner and breakfast. Their local sourcing ethos was admirable and the food seemed to taste better for the care the animals received. Fantastic Possibly the best overnight stop -off I have ever made

Bizarre that we had exactly the same issues as another reviewer - bar staff didn’t have a clue about the beer I asked for, despite serving it me earlier, and no pudding! I asked for one and it never came, complete blank. The service was true Fawlty Towers - fleetingly professional from one member of staff then whatever and verging on incompetent, brusque and even rude. Lovely food, really enjoyed it. Tempted to go back because of that but don’t know if the bad service is worth it - once you know, you can go with it, but, sometimes, it ruins your evening when you just want a relaxing bite to eat. Is it really too much to expect for people to be polite and competent?

Lovely stay. The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner in the bar - great food, the puddings were amazing! They also have a good wine list. The breakfast menu was extensive and again the food was of high standard. Would definitely stay again! Thank you

Stayed at Carden Patk Hotel . Discovered this gem of local pub delicious cuisine and genuine warm hospitality in local village of Carden . Food served all day . We booked Sunday Lunch easily online in advance and were so impressed we returned each following evening for scrumpsious suppers during our 3 night stay . All staff were very warm and welcoming especially Trish who showed us a lovely room for our next visit to Cheshire. Thank you to All at Carden Arms - fantastic . Wish you were our local . This is our second time at the pub. What a gem. We where treated like locals. Had two meals there…fantastic, and watched the Rugby on Saturday, A real pub..as they used to be. The staff are just A1, so polite and funny…you feel as if you’ve known them all you life. Wish I lived in the village, cos I would be there all the time. If you are stopping nearby or just passing through, do not miss this gem. The best food, and definitely the best staff! A real credit to the owners. The lad behind the bar, recognised us all and even asked about our missing one person. All in all the best experience I’ve ever had in a pub. Came last year, just as good, will be back later on in the year. Thanks everyone, for your fab manners, making us feel like locals!

One of our Favourites for Sunday Lunch. Staff are all really friendly. Sunday roasts are so tasty.cannot fault it. And the puddings are lovely also. Lovely country pub. One of our favourites on a Sunday.

What a wonderful welcome. Family lunch for six was excellent especially that we had two people in our group that have special requirements that is not easily available everywhere.
