Posada Los Condestables Hotel & Spa

We were driving up from Madrid to the Picos, but wanted to stop off to visit the Villiafilia lagoons and this appeared to be the only hotel nearby and as it also had a restaurant we booked in. We had a few email exchanges before trying to book a car parking space and a table at the restaurant but it was very difficult to communicate with the hotel. Several emails went back and forward and we arrived not really sure if both things had been booked. The hotel is located in the middle of a small street , however there is a small car park a little further up the road that you can book a space in . Be aware though it is a very narrow entrance and our normal sized family car only got through with an inch or so to spare. The owner doesn't speak much English , and demanded our passports as soon as we arrived which he kept until the next morning which was a little worrying. The rooms are surrounding a pretty courtyard and are designed in an old Spanish style and clean and airy. The beds were rock solid though, and our friends could not get any hot water for their shower either day, which just got a shrug from the owner when they complained. He went to their room and turned on the sink tap and then the shower and then hot water appeared?? Anyhow we had booked a table for 8.30 but when we checked with the owner he said no 9pm. So we went for a walk through the town, which was quick pretty with an impressive gateway, and a nice central square with a bar for a drink. We went into the restaurant at 9 and we were the only guests there , there also only appeared to be 1 member of staff who had little English too. We were given a menu, but when we choose our meals she just kept saying no you can't have, eventually it appeared to be that we could only order one thing and we all had to have the same . The same thing happened with the pudding , although my friend ordered hers but when we tried to order ours we all had to have three the same. Strangely other ( Spanish) guests came in later and she seemed to have a handwritten menu that they choose from and the could all order different dishes. We wondered if when we eat she was the only one on duty and could only cope with cooking a single meal from the menu and that that another member of staff came later. Breakfast was slightly better but was just bread rolls brought to your table with a selection of jams, honey and a strange savoury sauce and then four different individual cakes along with coffee/tea. There is a spa there also but we didn't use it . Sleep was ok it was very quiet but the beds very uncomfortable

Cet établissement est parfaitement tenu, et bien conçu avec son patio central. Notre chambre supérieure était très spacieuse, et belle, avec une grande fresque murale, et la literie très confortable. La chambre était très bien meublée. La salle de bain très vaste avec grande baignoire et douche, et bien que notre SPA privatif ne fonctionnait pas, nous avons pu moyennant un supplément de 12€ par personne utiliser celui de l'hôtel, fort agréable et pourvu d'un bassin. Le restaurant était d'un très bon rapport qualité-prix et la cuisine de qualité. Le petit-déjeuner est servi à table. Le choix est assez limité mais suffisant. L'accueil est simple et le personnel est aimable, sans chichis. L'endroit est très calme, dans un peu pueblo oublié de la modernité frénétique. Une mention spéciale pour notre hôte, qui a rédigé notre note à la main ! Atemporel. Comme la sagesse romaine le dit : "Balnea, vina, Venus corrumpunt corpora nostra, sed vitam faciunt balnea, vina, Venus." "Les bains, le vin et Vénus corrompent nos corps, mais les bains, le vin et Vénus créent la vie."

Es un establecimiento mitad casa rural, mitad hotel de pueblo, tienen muy buenas intenciones pero presenta muchas carencias. Barreras arquitectónicas, escaleras, moscas en abundancia, camas poco cómodas. El personal es muy atento y la restauración que ofrece muy buena y con excelente relación calidad precio. creo que necesita renovarse profundamente.

Muy buen sitio repetiré sin duda el spa está bastante completo para lo pequeño que es esta muy bien la habitación número 5 es preciosa y la suite pues más todavía se cena muy bien la verdad el menú 16 euros muy rico todo y el desayuno pues bueno un poco escaso de variedad

Reservamos el spa con masaje y la comida. En cuanto al spa, es pequeñito, quizá más de 5 o 6 personas sea agobiante, ya que está diseñado para 2 personas cada zona. No estaba especialmente caliente, más bien templado e incluso algo frío. Relación calidad precio está bien, son 15€. En cuando al masaje, la persona que daba los masajes se puso enferma ese día, y no pudimos disfrutarlo, no informaron cuando llegamos al lugar. Sobre la comida, decir que estaba realmente rico, nos prepararon todo apto para celíacos e intolerantes a la fructosa, ambas tenemos problemas alimenticios. El pulpo a la plancha y el solomillo estaban especialmente buenos, esta maravillosa comida fue ensombrecida por la actuación de la camarera que estaba atendiendo otro comedor que se encontraba en el otro extremo del patio. Cada vez que entraba del patio a nuestro comedor daba una patada a la puerta para abrirla, en lugar de utilizar las manos, ya que estas las llevaba ocupadas, dejando la puerta sin control y chocando contra mi silla, una de las veces, bastante fuerte, tanto como para llegar a moverme. Puedo entender que la primera vez se escape, hasta incluso la segunda (que fue cuando me pidió perdon) pero ya la tercera me cabreo. Creo que no son formas de trabajar. Hablé con el dueño al respecto y agradezco sus palabras, no obstante, he decido dejar constancia de este hecho, a mi parecer, un lugar que tiene buena presencia, comida y atención por la mayoría de los trabajadores, no debería estropearse por la actuación de una sola persona. El cuidado y la atención debe ser puesto por todos los trabajadores, para que se mantenga el nivel de prestación que se da. Espero de corazón que esta persona mejore en el trato y el respeto hacia los clientes

Hola; voy a comentar lo referente al restaurante ya que fuimos exclusivamente a comer; relación calidad precio excelente, atención muy cercana y cálida, y el señor Kiko, la joya de la Corona; nos sorprendió muy gratamente Villalpando y la restauración de la Posada de los Condestables a la altura de una buena mesa para compartir con buenos amig@s; quizás volvamos pronto, quizás la diosa Fortuna nos haga volver; de no ser así, la fortuna ya la tiene la propia posada a base de valores como cordialidad, historia y sobre todo buena gente.
