This place is a mixed bag. The property scores very high on the location. The only item that beats that rating is the staff courtesy and helpfulness. One of the best services that I have seen. I got misled by the Sterling Tag, assuming that it would be a resort. It is just a functional high priced hotel in a temple town. No other frills. The ACs and power outlets/ lamps need maintenance. I am sure someone from the property would ask for details - but they should be on top of such issues. The food is a big disappointment. It is one of the standard buffets with predominantly North Indian Cuisine. I was expecting domination of Kerala based cuisine, only to find that it wasn't. I cannot understand the ”Punjabification” of the menu. Fortunately, there are a number of smaller and less expensive restaurants at walking distance, to try the local cuisine. Another disappointment is that they didn't have 24 hour service for basic items - being a temple town, early morning darshans are common and I would have loved to have a filter coffee at 5 am. Ofcourse, they have a kettle with the instant coffee and tea bags in the room. Overall, a mixed experience. Choose this if you are here for a day or max two. Don't book longer stays.

The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the town. Parking is a bit problem, but the staff will take care of this. The checkin process was completed in less than 10 minutes. A very good quality elevator takes you to the floor. The room is having a traditional key and lock mechanism. The first impression of the room is neat and clean. There are hangers, kettles, bedside table and a study table. There a cable television for entertainment also. Our package include breakfast also. As informed, the breakfast will be server from 7:30, we reached by 7:45 but the breakfast was not ready. Since we had a busy schedule, the restaurebt manager helped us to arrange some food. The taste is average, but the quality is good. Some recommendations to the hotel are: - The dental kit was missing in the toilet - Kindly arrange the iorning table and iorn box to each room - An LED desk light to the study table is highly recommended - The kettle was not clean - The hair drier was not working - Kindly provide a bill at the time of checkout. What I like the most: - I haven't used but there is a WiFi provided by the hotel - The quick response from the staff; this is a very very good point in the service industry - Clean atmosphere The hotel is highly recommended to families who are looking for budget hotel with above average facilities. Make sure that you have options to travel to the town.

This was our first visit to sopanam,we stayed in room 502,the service was beyond any description,Mr.Sanjo the f n b manager gone outside the line to make us happy,he was always with us to meet our needs,sanjo has taken special care to my 3 year old kid,which really created a wow impression,Team members like Sanjo is really an asset to the hotel,he is a *** who really deserves a promotion,the food and rooms were great,thanks a lot sanjo and his team

I recently stayed here just because it would be easy to go athirapally falls. Being named four star hotel they don’t have basic amenities also like no proper hot water, no proper ventilation it was stinking, doors and walls are full of fungus. They charge extra amount for complimentary breakfast but they limit to only one dosa for one person and they will say for other items we have to pay additional. It’s completely cheating that saying room with breakfast and not giving proper food to guests. Safety wise not recommended with kids because first time I have seen charging ports are in middle of cot just behind head which might not be safe while sleeping. Booked this hotel through Goibibo and raised this compliant and they are least bothered about this and they didn’t care about people’s concern while staying in the property booked through their app. Never book through Goibibo app, they will not resolve your issues during stay, instead they will say facilities depends on hotel.

A fantastic stay - I highly recommend this hotel for those traveling with family. The staff is warm and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful, and very well maintained. We had a fantastic experience at the Regency Cafe. My son has a nut allergy, and they went above and beyond to ensure that his meals were safe. The breakfast and dinner buffets are both excellent - delicious food and great variety. We will definitely be back!

Ich habe mit meiner Familie in Ashoka In Thrissur von 24th-28th März 2022 verblieben. - Das Hotel erreichte um 1145 Uhr und wir wurden von Moskitos überall von der Lobby bis zum Zimmer begrüßt und wir schliefen mit Moskitos im Zimmer. Wir baten um die Nacht-Moschee und endete in der Zimmer- und Bad. - Vor dem Ankunftstermin und angerufen und bestätigt, ob wir Haartrockner haben, die Rezeption sagte ja, aber sie nicht überprüften, ob es funktioniert. wenn wir es verwenden wollen, war es nicht funktioniert, gebeten, reparieren. - Anfrage für Boxgewebe und gab uns die in ihrem Restaurant verwendeten Gewebe zuerst und nach wiederholten Anfragen, die sie eine Box lieferten. - Badröhre schmutzig und Waschbecken haben Krümel - Nicht wert zu bezahlen RS3500+ pro Nacht, nur wert Rs500 pro Nacht - Kein Frühstücksbuffet wie angekündigt, benötig bestellen wie normal Restaurant, Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht, Stattdessen müssen wir bestellen und so haben wir endlich draußen essen. - Schalter und Schleifen sind los, Sicherheitsbedenken - Befestigt auch ein paar Bilder - Zimmer und Möbel im Zimmer sehen sehr alt und sind nicht sauber, - Handtücher mit vielen Jahren alt und gelb - Internet-Anschluss sehr langsam im Zimmer und nach jeder 5 Minuten abschalten - Unacceptable und schlechte Hygiene und Service - Kann sagen, dass dies nur ein einstündiges Hotel ist - Hinweis für internationale Reisende empfohlen

Hotel didn't give superior river view room as per my mm t booking. Though we reached hotel late only at 3:15 pm, they initially told check-in will take some more time but finally at 4:15 pm they have offered deluxe room (low category. They have given the excuse that the previous guest in super river view room has not checked-out. Finally i have accepted the deluxe room and they have reduced rs. 1, 000 as a compensation in the dinner bill. Also, i was not given the invoice for food bill not sure why. Had to wait for 1 hour and few mins in the reception during check-in because of this issue. Apart from this issue, the overall stay was good. I must say that the room and food was excellent.
