Clafouti Beach Resort - A Seafacing Resort

The best resort at North Cliff of Varkala. Actually if you are looking for happening part of Varkala North Cliff is the option if looking for peaceful silent place go for south varkala. Small reception but its good what its ment for. quick checking and checkout. The room was really very big, spacious, clean and modern, however the bathroom could be a bit better. Full value for money. The view from the room is mesmerising, exotic and just wonderful, I just wanted to sit at the balcony for the whole day and view the sea. The amenities was ok ok, but the service was excellent. We have direct access to the cliff walk way from our resort, and the sea beach is just 250 meters both left or right of our resort. The resort restaurant is at the cliff side however accessible from both resort and cliff. There are plenty of other cafe's, restaurants, stores from line towards right and left of the resort, which are open till late night, and are heppening. We can find both veg and non veg options here. The food quality is good. Reaching resort by car is a bit tough if you have big vehicle so try small car when coming to this place. They do have parking space. overall wonderful stay, just loved it.

I like this place and the stay was very comfortable. The beach view was very awesome from this place.The service was also very good.the staff were also friendly. food is also tasty even vegetarians can have plenty of verities . Beautiful view of beach from the food area.

Only one thing is good i.e it is near beach .Rest things are not good.Rooms are not well maintained having foul smell also having lot of stains on walls ***** with lot mosquitos and flies. If you just want to spend one night than choose it else to enjoy your tour select some good hotel .

I recently stayed and had an exceptional at the reception. Their assistance made my stay truly memorable...... The hotel itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with great amenities and a convenient location. I highly recommend this ....

We booked Royal Villa Deluxe for 2 nights and 3 days, the room was pretty and decent but the staff and service was very bad, at first when we reach there the staff was unaware about the booking and took us to very cheap room as compared to what we booked. The receptionist doesn’t speak hindi or english so it was very frustrating. You have to pay for every second water bottle. staff is not at all friendly or polite. You can only book the room for the view. It is very close to the beach. The view from the room is also very pretty.

Centrally located on the North Cliff, staying at Clafouti will keep you at the heart of the buzz in Varkala. We were in the cottages which look beautiful from the outside, but were in definite need of TLC inside. Bad decor and tacky lighting made the room completely tasteless... a lost opportunity. Cleanliness and service quality were average. The staff at the reception were very helpful though. Do not opt for meals, as there are several fabulous cafes and restaurants around you.
